When in doubt, don't donate. Greer isn't exactly the most honest man. However, it would not surprise me some scam artist is using his name to try to get money. I wouldn't donate.

Dr. Steven Green has launched a new non-profit research foundation named The Orion Project to develop new, out-of-the-box energy solutions.

The Orion Project was founded to bring together highly accomplished scientists, researchers, inventors and thinkers who have expertise in advanced energy generation and propulsion technologies. Their goal is to develop bold new energy generation technologies within the next two years that will completely replace the need for oil, gas, coal and nuclear power.

As a 501©3, non-profit organization, their present goal is to raise $3 million dollars in donations in the next 60 days (by May 16, 2008) [1] (http://www.theorionproject.org/en/breakthrough.html) to support their budget (http://www.theorionproject.org/en/budget.html), which includes salary for a team of 12 full-time engineers and inventors, along with other support personnel as well as a research facility. The campaign was launched by a pledge for $250,000 contingent on the full $3 million being raised.

An March 17, 2008 newsletter from Greer said that "this capital fund raising campaign is to enable these promising clean-technology energy researchers to be brought together in one place to build the initial proof of principle prototype to help solve the energy crisis once and for all."

For many years, Greer has been seeking to locate a technology that the previous groups he has founded (SEAS Power, AERO) could help take to market. SEAS Power offered a $1 million dollar prize for such a technology. AERO bumped that to $5 million. [2] (http://pesn.com/2007/11/02/9500455_AERO_Award/) Apparently after all these years, either no one has brought forth a technology that meets Greer's criteria, or the terms of Greer's operation have not been satisfactory to any inventors or their groups. So now Greer is establishing this new, creative body to come up with the technology themselves that they've not been able to find accessible elsewhere in their searching.

"In the past 18 years, our team has developed a database of scientific advances in new, clean tech energy systems that, if properly funded and supported, have the potential to completely revolutionize how we generate energy. These breakthroughs in physics -- so-called Zero Point Energy, electro-gravitic propulsion and other systems -- have, up to this point [in some cases], been developed and hidden in illegally classified projects in the US, UK and elsewhere. The Orion Project has identified the most qualified brain-trust of scientists and inventors who understand this new science, and are ready to come together to help solve the energy and environmental crisis facing humanity today."

UFOWATCHDOG.COM does not address these people objectively. They take them abart via their faults like some mad politician out mud slinging.
I don't think Greer is the bad guy they want you to think he is.
