would you live by the decisions your computer makes for you, living by pure logic?

ie- you put in your choices and it gives you the logical choice!

If your decisions were determined by "pure logic" then you may just as well make none. Why is doing nothing at all any less logical than doing something? You may want to live, have fun, have a life, etc, but these are emotional decisions. Logic can be used to achieve some goal which is decided upon for emotional reasons. For example, you might want to maximize savings, so a computer could in principle scan the market for you and find the cheapest suppliers of utilities and save you doing the work. Some mundane tasks I would like automated. Lots of the actual hard work in life we should try to automate as best we can so that humans have time for other pursuits like recreation and learning.

I wouldn't have all my decisions made by pure logic, but I would probably do a good 50% that way.

I think I'd like to do the work in my life. Earn my money, not have it given to me. I don't know if you mean decision making or actual work to earn money, but I think all people should have to earn their money the old fashion way, not have a machine do it for them.

If we had machines do all the work for us so we could have recreation and learning, then no one would be able to afford anything unless you paid people for nothing.

Who should get the money from jobs? The one in Washington says the poor, the ones in the Kremlin say hand it out equally. I say you should earn it your self by doing your job.

I don't think I trust any machine, no matter how "smart" it is to make my decisions in life.
