It's interesting but something about this seems fake. I'm not sure if it's how jumpy it is or that it looks superimposed with a filter... Not positive. Any thoughts?

Good find Karl.
I am not convinced it is a hoax or fake.
Seems very real to me. The rotating light is a genuine noticable feature. It seems to rotate the circumference of the craft.

Selkiescot,thanks for the reply.
There has been quite a lot of UFO activity in Romania recently-earlier this year their news agencies reported one of their fighter jets was involved in a near collision with several UFOs and nearly crashed (I'll try to find a link).
The Romanian media is quite refreshingly open about the UFO subject-something we could do with emulating here in Western Europe.
Cheers Karl

No man-made object in the air would ever have a flashing light.

Well, I have two thoughts:

1) it's a UFO. Look how it jumps around.

2) Notice the colors are green with a reddish tint? That makes me think of landing lights. Port and starboard winglights are green and red. If there's fog, precipitation or even just a lot of moisture in the air, from a distance you can get a blurring effect. Now, most of the shots look like a plane coming in on approach (and my guess is a small plane rather than a big liner). The only anomaly are the weird jumps. Now the camera timer at the bottom stays consistent. There are two ways this might work. (a) it's a UFO jumping around in real time. ( b ) they spliced one or more approaches to one runway with one or more approaches to two other runways, and fixed the timer. Even though the object itself 'jumps', because we're looking at lights on a dark background, our mind will automatically fill in the gap and make it appear that the object 'moved' when it didn't. For the record, I've used this visual illusion effect myself, though with computers, and not using video.

So it could be a genuine UFO, or it could just be, and I suspect is, spliced footage of small aircraft landings at night.

Again, just my opinion here.

From what I could tell, the camera that captured the images was motorized. Some of the "jumping around" is just the camera shifting position to follow the object. I tend to wounder how much of it was the craft "jumping around" and how much was the jerky camera jumping around?

One may look at the background and think the camera is stilling still. However that could be a distortion added by the equipment/tape and thus is always in the middle even when the camera moves.

UFO incidents covered by Romanian media:
Military fighter jet incident- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0scJShhQ3Q

Compilation of footage on news- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GCqlbVJ6TE

(Unfortunately all of it is in Romanian)
