me and my friend were looking at various religions (christianity, mormons, hindu, ect..) and found this video, a rather odd and disturbing video..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zy0d1HbItOo do they really believe in all that shit? (no offence if you are a mormon) it just seems a little bit crazy.. QUOTE (Mormon youtube cartoon) Nigros were turned black because they remained neutral in the fight between lucifer and mormon jesus, and White people are those who stayed loyal to mormon jesus. we all know that the above is total B/S! QUOTE (Mormon youtube cartoon) Joseph smith, KNOWN FOR HIS TALL TALES, Is the mormons most respected prophet. umm, i wouldnt believe the words of a lier. But apperently the mormons do?? QUOTE (Mormon youtube cartoon) Mormon god came to earth, to have sex with the virgin mary Come again? there are more things in this vid that just don't make sence.. (i.e Native americans = israelites what do you ppl think of all this?? This post has been edited by ALIENX-PERT: Jul 1 2008, 12:35 PM |

Uhmm.. if you compare it with say..the regular christian beliefs.. it really doesnt come off as any more odd. The mormon god came to earth to have sex with virgin mary is strange to you..but angels telling a 12 year old girl that god has made her pregnant..thats fine? The Romans telling everyone to go where their ancestors lived 1,000 years previously to perfrom a census..thats ok? God deciding people are just too bad so he wipes out everyone except ONE family..that makes sense...but god changing the color of people for their actions..thats weird?
Come on.. from an outside point of view they are all equally bizarre. Im actually surprised the Mormon church isnt more popular in the US as it provides justification for what was done there. |

Alien X-Pert, the belief that god changed the color of people's skin was a common Pre-Civil War belief in America. This was how Christian people in the South justified their treatment of African-Americans. The treatment, in their interpretation, was allegedly 'just' because skin color was a curse by God, who intended - again according to this interpretation - that blacks be subjugated to the role of slaves.
The fact that the Mormon books state this explicitly comes from the fact that the book of Mormon was written at a time when this was a commonly held belief - at least among racist bigots in America. |

Well.. no. The Roman Catholic church says that priests literally turn wine into gods blood..every mass. And that bread LITERALLY becomes gods flesh every mass. And then they EAT THEIR GOD.
It doesnt get much more odd than that. |

I think most Christian sects believe in transubstantiation. Upon this particular issue the Mormons are relatively sane. But then they have other beliefs which are relatively insane.

The Catholic, Orthodox and Lutheran churches all officially believe in the "real presence" of Christ's flesh and blood in the bread and in the wine. |

Come again? there are more things in this vid that just don't make sence.. (i.e Native americans = israelites what do you ppl think of all this?? I've seen this video before and no 'modern' Mormon today would really admit that its what they believe. However, in the beginning of the Mormon movement, this was accepted as truth. It's only due to social pressure (eg. pologamy is bad, gods from other planets is stupid and non-Christian) that the 'CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS' changed their beliefs into something more 'mainstream'. As a Raelian, I like what they believe (not the stupid mystical God stuff and black people being evil, but let me explain). The Mormons believe that long ago a human lived on another planet, was a really good mormon, died, worked his way up through heaven to the point of being allocated Earth to be God over. His name was Elohim. The Raelians believe that long ago a human lived on another planet, was really good at science and technology, worked his way up through the government and decided to implant life, scientifically, on Earth. This man is Yahweh, known as the 'god' of the Isralites. A whole group of scientists came with him and the Israelites called them 'Elohim' which in ancient hebrew means, 'those who came from the sky'. THey thought they were gods. The Mormons believe that they too can become Gods just like their God by working their way through different levels of heaven until they are allocated a planet to rule over. The Raelians believe that one day our humanity will seed life on another planet and those people who do will be mistaken for 'gods' by their creations. They will follow in the steps of what Yahweh did. Do you see what I mean? -Josh Aliens='God' www.rael.org -------------------- www.myspace.com/sojournonline

well considering african americans came first in the human evoloution I guess we can scrape away that stupid quote about black people being "changed" to the color of their skin for cursed purposed, how dumb that is. I'm sorry but I'm just going to be blunt and honest here...this video SUCKS! There is no truth in it, that is all. It's definately one of those mind controlling videos aimed toward children. Why else make it into a freakin cartoon? Goodness, I find this rather insulting. Personally I have never heard of Mormons believing this such thing which is probably why it was banned from the mormon church. It's some cult's way of stating a complete falsehood of their religion. And I'm not saying mormons are good, I mean they do some crazy shit right? But I just don't believe the MASS majority of them would believe in this. This has to be some off the wall, cult calling themselves mormons or followers of god or something. With as many lies are in this video it makes me want to vomit. I'd rather smell a kitty fart than watch something like this again.

...... I am speechless. It took me a minute to see that. Hopefully a typo. All current humans come from a common DNA. We trace that back to South Africa. Its still theorized that there was once more than one strand of DNA making up the whole of humanity before a great catastrophe narrowed it to a single line of which we all share ancestry today. for more info check out https://www3.nationalgeographic.com/genographic/index.html |
