i like the varied views and opinions,seeing things from an angle i wouldn't have considered,the experience of communicating with other people around the globe who are searching for the same answers or pose new questions.The humour,sometimes sadness,occcasional nut -nuts,but this place is by far the best ,i have visited and its the folks that join that make it great.

Mac, this DESERVES a reply, in fact a lot of replies.

First: Thank you. Although there are things I want to complain about, and it's easy to complain, there are a lot of good points too.

Here are some:
* The mods have been really good about listening to my complaints. When I report a post, they always get back to me, and they MODERATE: meaning they don't always take my side, but more importantly try to keep the peace and preserve a positive atmosphere.

* This forum is the PERFECT size. Some sites just make me feel completely lost. They're too big. Some forums feel empty. It feels like six people all agreeing with each other. This forum has a good number.

* Great people. There are people I agree with and people I don't. There are people VERY different than me. Yet, we can have a good conversations. It's nice to be around so many intelligent and well-educated people.

As somebody said to Dundee: We're becoming connoisseurs of the weird. It's not as fresh as it was, and it's getting harder to find the new stuff. But still, sometimes it's nice to go into a debate knowing what to say.

This is a good forum. Not perfect. But pretty damn great all the same: and I'll say it again ... It's the forum members who make this a great place for me.

Yes, I have always said this is the best forum, that I have found.
There are bigger and older, but none better.

Hey guys this is our place of course its good i know we get the ocasional idiot here but they soon get bored and go and bother somebody else i've spoken to some great people learned a hell of a lot and yes we dont always agree on everything but look the membership numbers are nearing 8,000 and your never going to get 8,000 people to agree on everything also i bet you dont know many people like us who have 8,000 friends

we are a global network.I never conversed with so many nice people in America,Australia,Italy,Japan,New Zealand,Singapore,Canada,Denmark even fellow Brits like myself.with AU,you know you are not alone.

What more can I add? Don't know if I have the right to say it, but I say it just the same: AUF is an awesome place!
