The government now wants the power to monitor every e-mail,text messages, and website hits and visits you make. Why? their excuse is it enables them to better monitor the threat of terrorism.Never known a bomb to be sent by e-mail!
Personally its just another brick in the wall, another loss of freedom and liberty...exactly what the war on terrorism was supposed to protect. If they get this authorisation,i gonna sell my pc and mobile phone..and buy me some pigeons. So if any of you guys see a pigeon on your porch...check if it has a post from macdaddy. |

It is a British story, SD. The thing is, the 'step too far' was taken many years ago. Internet Service Providers are already required keep all the data about your usage of their service for the past six months and EU regulations are going to cause that period to be extended to two years. Everyone was upset that Viacom managed to have YouTube forced to hand over its usage log, which gave data on every single video viewed by each user for the website's entire history, something which Viacom has now backed away from. However, there was much less of a reaction to the fact that such a log exists in the first place, the knowledge of which will make me never log into a YouTube account again. Modern data storage capacities make it easy for companies to store vast amounts of data that is only marginally useful to them, even arguably completely useless, but that divulges a lot about their customers, or users, to snoopers, seeking out the habits of particular individuals. |

Jesus H. Christ! I don't care if they do this shit with suspected pedophiles or something but not just everybody. We have lost it as a world. That's it, I'm done. *just blew head off*.................okay no I didn't but fuck, no wonder suicide rates go sky rocket sometimes. Or maybe it's just the "seasonal changes" haha.

Thanks macdaddy.
I have always felt that as we progress we will eventually loose our individual freedoms in a way that would enhence us so we could function more collectively. But we are a long ways from that. In the name of security, they are invading our privacies. We already do not trusts our governments. What the hell, do they think this will make us feel all secure and welcome!! AHHH yes, our trusting government, concerned for our welfare, our buddies. Well just have to all get around them GROUP HUG and sing GUMBAYA together. -------------------- QUEST FOR THE REAL TRUTH |

Used to be the same way with library books. Some books are "flagged" by the FBI, like how to cover up forensic evidence or how to make nuclear bombs. Every book you check out from then on will be monitered. Now they are just taking it about 100 steps further. |

unless we find harmony, we are all doomed.
