Actually this is a case of someone taking what a psychic had to say, too seriously.

psychics have the same power over people that organized religion does.

the power of belief, and the power of faith, these things can influence one to oblivion. under the wrong hands, which are anyone's hands but your own...

You don't need to be a psychic to destroy a family this way. Just because it was a person of influence over the family ( A teacher's assistant in this case ) she was taken seriously. A police officer or even a neighbour can do the same thing. If a neighbour reports that the girl is acting funny and thinks she is being abused, the whole force of the law will come down on the family and the suspected abuser. In this case, the accused is guilty until proven innocent. Even if a court declares the suspected abuser innocent, the community "knows" that they are guilty and the law couldn't prove it. There have been cases like this of a teacher accused of abusing his students. He was innocent and yet he had to leave the community because no one would hire him. He couldn't get a job teaching in the country because the accusation followed him when the prospective employers phoned for references. All said and done, power is given to those that could use it and do use it. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

We all have to take everything someone else says and does with a bit of skepticism. Ask someone to do something for you and sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. You don't have any guarantees. Same goes for psychics. Sometimes they are accurate and sometimes they are way off. That's why they ask for confirmation that what they are saying rings true with you when you have a psychic reading. If you say no, then they are off. The pretend psychic does a similar thing but uses the question to make the interview go their way. They need you to provide information about yourself. Either way, you haven't any assurance that you are getting a quality reading. I've personally never been to a psychic. I wonder what they'd make of me?

This is the only thing they ever do. There is no such thing as psychics, and when people believe there are people with those powers, there will be scum that will take advantage of it.

I can't believe someone would do that to a family. That's lower than any scum on the earth. There's nothing worse than people who take people's money to feed them lies. No wonder this earth is going into a shit hole. And for a school's principal to take something like this seriously? What a crock of baloney, he or she must be the dumbest Principal on the planet. Anyone EDUCATED knows you look for the FACTS first. What is wrong with society? I don't think I want kids now. They may stum their toe and oh lordy it's child abuse! And trust me I know about child abuse, I am a survivor of it and I am not belittling the subject. But I'm just saying people aren't a very good judge of character if they are believing bullshit all day long.
