I think it was the delusions of a disturbed guy that too many people believed. There were towers built in the chesepeake bay and in phillidelphia to demagnetize ships with big ac electromagnets. This made them less susceptable to magnetic mines.

Thats all it was. The towers in the bay collapsed after the war when a freeze formed ice around them. They are now artificial reefs that used to be good fishing spots. When the bay had fish.

Nothing fantastic about them at all.

lmao I have no clue what subject you're on lol Does that have anything to do with the philidelphia experiment? I've never heard of towers. And what does it have to do with the philidelphia expirament? Maybe you could be a little more specific so we can understand this theory.

I've seen a few documentaries and stories about the PE, some cheezy and some serious. It is one of those things, like Roswell, that the average Joe will probably never know. There will be a day when we all find out everything, I'm sure, but until that revealing occurs we will be in the dark.

My personal feeling is that at least something very similar to the accounts happened. Tesla was involed, as well as many of the other physicists and electrics geniuses of the time. The U.S. had an enormous military research "black" budget (even by today's standards). Also, there was a desparation to develop that next great "superweapon" first to ensure our victory over the Nazis and Japanese Empire. What resulted from all that, of course, was the atomic bomb, but that is only because it was the first one completed that worked. It could have easily been a fleet of "invisible" ships or teleporting ships, if they could have gotten the tech to work. It could have been starships for all we know. But it was the atom bomb that was finished and worked first, and it could be reproduced over and over.

Today, in the shadows, there may very well be a race to get the most exotic advanced tech working for other reasons. And I'm sure they have built upon some of the more strange things like the PE, Tesla's Death Ray, and whatever else man has imagined. It is neat to think that by the time of the 24th century we could actually be more advanced than Star Trek was portrayed to be. It is also a scary thought in that we may not even make it that far before... KABOOM!!!

Charles Berlitz and William Moore did a great book on it. I can not remember the title.
My feelings on it are undecided.

I do not recall the names but the original and only source for the P E was a deranged ex sailor who sent letters to an author. Over several years the author investigated and found the sailor claimed to witness the event from another ship. He claimed the Eldrige dissapeared from Philly and briefly appeared at Norfolk. He claimed it was an invisability experiment gone bad that injured and psychologicly disturbed the crew.

The author concluded the man was delusional and none of his shipmates supported the story. The sailor claimed the event was caused by electromagnetic coils placed around the Eldrige.

During ww2 there were tall towers with large electromagnetic coils in Philly and in Chesepeake bay that ships sailed between. The coils were energized with AC current as ships sailed between them. Two towers at each location. The magnetic coils degaussed (demagnetized) the ships hulls. This rendered the ships less visible to magnetic mines.

I think the deranged sailor siezed on the towers and created a fantasy in his head around them. He was dellusional. He was psychotic. Did he make it all up, I think so but I guess there is the possibility he did witness an experiment. He wrote rambling letters about conspiracy and annotated the columns of everthing he read, books and even magezines and newspapers.

I have reviewed over much of the written material on it. I find it most honest to hold an undecided view. There was more found to the story than what the original Allende letters told.

But what about their lack of television remote controls at the time? Would that not have prevented them from doing it?

im not saying that they actual accomplished anything im just saying that it would not surprise me that they would try such an experiment because it would be of great use for military and intelligence gathering. Im glad to see that you read my posts andrew rolleyessmileyanim.gif

This reminds me ever so subtly of the Japanese Death Rays experiments using
microwaves. Anything a govt can to to have a leading edge, even if your own
soldiers are guinea pigs like the A-bomb test on 'our own boys'.

We all know that , that did happen.

So we know the govt is expert in plausible denyability.

Present day technology has advanced much further than what the government is telling their people in all major countries who

have developed nuclear capability and have also been contacted by advanced ET races who have bases all over the world !

As per government sources, there are at least 57 races on our Planet today ! The ones living inside the earth included ! smile.gif

vyrtigo.....Tesla was dead by the time the attempted to make the Eldrige invisble to magnetic mines......though I am sure the consulted with him prior to his death
