For a while, subsequently to some specific cases, it is hypothesized that the CROP in the ice (imprints similar to those of the roller skate or consistent formations supported on the underlying ice), as those in the wheat, are connected to the UFOs. One of the most known apparitions of a circle in the ice (or, more correctly, of a circle "of" ice) it is verified December 2 nd 2001 in Canada, near the village of Delta, in the region of the Ontario. Paul Anderson of the Circles Phenomena Research Canada describes so the event, studied by the local researcher Drew Cau-ley: "The circle of ice had a diameter of around 4,5 meters and a thickness of 7,5 centimeters. It was found on a layer of so thin ice by not to be able to sustain the weight of a person. All around soft snow didn't bring any imprint. Even if it doesn't deal with a crop circle, it is the tenth phenomenon on which we investigate this year; from 1999 it is the third one related to a formation in the ice". A circle in the ice similar to that appeared in the Ontario has been observed and photographed March 11 th 2003 in the place Norwalk, Connecticut (USA).

Wow...that is something I had not heard of before, thanks SD.

Two things come to mind, firstly they would be really difficult to hoax. Secondly It would be difficult to use these circles to convey a message as the ice is floating and not stationary.

Cydonia, is this the one you mean?

Certainly very little is impossible, but how would one do it to look like the ones pictured? They appear as perfect circles. Even if you cut a perfect circle on thick ice, as it melts, it will deform.

I'd like a suggestion, if someone has got one....

i think the term crop circle was because most of the circles are usually formed in wheat fields etc and this is why farmers get annoyed because obviously the crop gets damaged having said that they probably dont complain as much when they start charging people money to enter the fields to observe the formations lol no idea how the ice circles are formed Drifter i think you can discount a bunch of students ( as has been suggested many times ) as making those

I have heard of these before... very weird, but they could just be caused by the way the water is flowing, although water usually doesn't flow in circles and break ice. blink.gif
