Most of us are at the: we'll believe it when we see it, point. We don't have long to wait. It will be a safe bet, that this date will come and go, with nothing doing.

I'm not too well informed about predictions and such, so please excuse my ignorance.
I would like to know what makes this particular prediction so special. What makes Goodchild anything more than your average nutcase or hoaxer. Is it because of the specific date given? Or maybe because it is only a few weeks away? But in my opinion, this is nothing more then a sneaky cheap ass way to sell some books and make a quick buck. hmmm....
i dunno... i dismissed the prediction when i heard about it. . ya know... went to the site... read the ramblings of this woman...and promptly decided not to get my hopes up. but the f-kd up part is that last week i was listening to the rush limbaugh show, and in just a snippet to gaff at a liberal reporter... he mentions that this guy interviewed some renowned psychic in the states that vehemently states in a little over a week we were going to see the election interrupted by martial law and bush would have some kind of national security crisis on his hands.... and oddly enough, the first thing that popped in my mind was "shit.... that's weird. if it's not total crap, maybe goodchild is one of those rare nutcases that ends up striking it rich on a valid prediction..." naturally my mind wandered on and beyond coherence at that point...because, well...that's what my mind does. but interesting nonetheless... who knows? maybe this supposed psychic had a point... or more likely heard of goodchild's prediction and put out a press statement in hopes of having a valid reason to start her own cult... lol |
