Hi, my name is Josh and im only 14 but thats old enough to have an alien experience, right? Well anyway I was reading the reports sent in by members and I came across one that was really similar to something that happend to me.Ever since I was 6 I would get really bad headaches and i would occasionally hear a loud ringing in my ears. Well, It was about a year ago in the summer . It was really hot and my Dad wouldnt turn on the air conditioner so i had all 4 windows open and all the blinds up. I had just finished watching an episode of the family guy and was really tired so i decided to go 2 sleep because i was having one of the worst headaches ive ever had and the ringing in my ears was really loud. I fell asleep about 20 mins or so after i laid down. I remember waking up and feeling like someone was watching me. I tried to get up to pull the covers over me but i couldnt move at all. My entire body was numb. I could still breathe. When i moved my eyes towards the windows i noticed 3 weird shapes outside of my windows. There is only one tree in my backyard and it isnt visible from any of the windows in my room. After a minute or so i blacked out. Almost a year from the day it happend i havent had one headache and havent heard the loud ringing in my ears. the headaches and ringing in my ears may not have had anything to do with the experience i had but i am clearly convinced that i had an E.T. experience and somehow they helped me get over my headaches. Hey i know im only a teen but i swear im not making this up!

What i think you been experiancing is a "sleep paralyze" i suffer from those a couple of times each month. In short it means you body is asleep but your mind is awake or half awake, atleast a part of it.
If your mind is awake. Everything will look the same in the room just as you would be awake. But you can not move and you can not speak, though as a part of your brain might be asleep, dreams and imaginations may occure.

But this is just an explanation that i was given, when i searched the reason for theese weird things i suffer at night.
It might be something compleatly different.

Go to a psychiatrist and have him put you under regressive hypnosis to dig up any repressed memories. If it was an alien abduction scenario, then you likely didn't black out, you just repressed the memory of the experience because it's so horrifying.

i think it could have been a probe. ask your family if they ever saw or heard anything. where were they in this span of a few hours? if they were near you, it may have been a dream-or your entire family could have been abducted

I have a sperate room from my dad. Im pretty sure my dad was asleep by then. He didnt mention anything the day after. If he had remembered something he wouldve been talking about it the next day

I have sleep paralasys almost every time I sleep. I often wake in the night and I am completely unable to move. It started after I had a bad experience with something, and at first it was very frightening. I remember the first time it happened, I woke, and I could just see my bedsheets and a small amount of the room. I basically lay there for about five minutes really scared. Then when I thought I heard a noise I really panicked, it did feel like I could sense a presence in my room, but I know it was not an alien. I got scared, so I tried as hard as I could to move my arm, and I was able to move it very slowly in a circular motion, as though my should was the center and my hand the perimeter. It didn't help, so I tried kicking as hard as I could and that worked, I was able to free myself from the paralasys attack. When I regained movement, it felt like a really odd sensation going through my whole body, a little like an electric shock, it's hard to explain. More like having a bucket of water thrown over you when you are half awake.

A couple of times I have almost chocked, I have woken up and my face is pressed against the covers, and I wake because i can't breathe, but I am still unable to move. That's quite worrying the first few times as well. I have adapted to it now, and i'm pretty used to it. As I said, Cataplexy runs in my family, so it may be a combination of that and my experience. My auntie had very serious cataplexy, and she was hospitalised after she had a paralasys attack while walking down the stairs, and my grandfather had narcolepsy, and later died of a stroke. If you do experience it, you should try not to panic. Let your brain wake up for a moment, and then try and kick your way out of it, making sure you don't kick anyone you're sleeping next to (not a good idea rolleyes.gif ). When you have kicked yourself out of it, don't go back to sleep for at least 5 minutes or so, otherwise you are likely to have another attack (I am anyway).

Main rules for this are:

Don't panic
Don't try to scream/yell it doesn't work and you can choke.
Do try to wake your partner if you have one, it's much easier to snap out of it if someone else can shake you or pour cold water onto you.
Don't think that the big blob you can see is an alien (it might be) but in that state everything seems really blurred and distorted.
Do kick out of it as fast as you can if you are choking, I very nearly made the mistake of going back to sleep whilst choking once.

I have more safe points that I keep in my head, if you want to hear them I can tell you. I wonder if this is anything like your experience? Please remember this if it happens again, it can be quite dangerous.

I would start with taking Melatonin in combo with 5 HTP both in low doses, about 2-4 hours before you go to sleep.

For headaches I would recommend an eye exam.

Josh I never realy hear a loud ringing in my ears. Its a low frequency sound and it sounds like a train going by. Rumbling, pacing, getting louder then softer.
And I usually only hear it at night. I havent heard it for about a month now though.

Josh:

If you havent been to a Dr in a while for a good exam -please go.

You might be experiancing Migraines, thay come on in differant ways.

The ear ringing can also go along with that.

Pain from Migraines can last from a very short time to days long. Can make you vomit and feel just awful!
Its not uncommon for them to come on and then you not have another attack for days, months or years.

Just the statement you made about having to go lay down because the pain was so severe in a pretty good example of what happens.

When you are in a lot of pain you can also see things.

The lights you see are called Migraine Auras and most everyone that has migraines experiances this.
You can have this happen prior to ever feeling any head pain, even days before the actual headache starts.

You can get natural supplements for the ear ringing at your health food stores.
They dont last a long time but will give some relief.
It is also much better than trying to drown out with your headphones!

Tell your Dad you need to go to the Dr.,i bet if you sit down and talk to your Dad he can tell you if this is something common in the family-it usually is.

There are meds that help.

Hope this helps!

And if the doc says you're OK, go see a psychologist. Regressive hypnosis, it reveals what ails ya.

Josh:

I hope you arent listening to those headphones to loud because you can be causing the ear ringing by doing that alone!

If you notice that its louder when you take them off-it's making it worse.

I spent a lot of my teen years listening to Kiss, Aerosmith, etc way to loud and now i have "noise deafness". If to much is going on in the room? I cant understand a damn thing because all i hear is noise!

Just a thought.
