I have heard many stories of people claiming to hear the voice of God. Most of them say it's a strong, loud, voice in their head. A voice that is definitely not their own.

I have also heard this voice. One night, about six years ago. I had just laid down for bed. All of a sudden a booming voice said, "There WILL be an accident." It scared me so bad I jumped up out of bed. I almost expected someone to be in the room with me, even though I knew better. I never thought for a second that I was hearing voices. The next day, everyone I talked to, I instructed to make sure they wore their seatbelts. I even made some people I know who don't wear them, promise me to. After a few days of this, nothing had happened. I stopped asking people to wear their seatbelts, and chalked it up to being tired and hearing crap.

The next week, I got a phone call. A close friend of mine who I hadn't spoken to in about a year was in an accident. It was raining and slippery out that night. A semi slid through a red light and hit the car on her side. I saw her in the hospital, and almost couldn't reckognize her. Her skull was fractured, and she had almost died from her brain swelling. Her eyes were black and swelled up worse than any boxer I have ever seen. It brought a tear to my eye just to see her like that.

Fortunately, she pulled through. She is not the same as she used to be. Her personality completely changed. Probably brain damage. But, she is able to function well, and that's what is important. I believe she was wearing her seatbelt as well.

Also, she got a million dollars out of the deal, and the driver got 200k. I'm sure that even with the nice house and everything, they would trade it back for not having to go through that experience.

I haven't seen her face to face, or talked to her since I saw her in the hospital. Her family is friends with mine, that's the only way I know she is well.

I'm just curious if any of you have had a similar experience?

When I was younger I did sometimes hear voices in my head, as you desribed...But I really can't remeber what was said...

I think you were getting a message from what is called your higher self. Because I've gotten that voice before too. It wasn't loud and male but it was authoritative. Telling me big things before they happened. Now, I do believe in God because you know how else am I here? We are the proof. But, I think its probably more of a female entity. You know if we weren't separate it would be more subtle when talking to us. I don't think that it is possible to talk to god right now. Nobody really does. What they are talking to is their subconscious or their higher self. We can't find most of the universe. The book Song of the greys talks about our prime beings separating out from the god-head and not coming back like the others did. So we are de-evolving. We are just living in a hologram reality we think is real. Just because god can't fit into religion made by us doesn't mean there isn't a god, source, higher consciousness. It's not going to fit in a little box. Even we don't. I'm still trying to define the whole when I'm just a part separated out from it. This is my working theory so far. As of late I've really been reconstructing my consciousness. Don't know why. Most people form a belief young about themselves, god and the universe and stick to it for the rest of their life. But, I would keep listening to the voices when they tell you things. Because from my experience they are always right. If you were crazy they would never shut up so there is a difference there.

Get those quite often, and am guided to do things...take a different road, go to a different store, call my son,. all kinds of things, but for good reason....

But how many times do you hear the vioce without there being somekind of incident afterwards?Have you heard it since? has someone had a bad accident since then and you havn't heard the voice?

voices? hmm, see what ya'll have done now.i was completely satisfied to think i was crazy, and now look, some one is inside of my head!

I use to belive that i was the messanger of god, because i VERY strongly belived in him,
you know- prey everynight for my friends (that i diddnt have, so i preyed for those who deserved it) family, and even my animals =D

but i never heard the voice of god....

UFO- Yes, I believe in God. You said you used to hear a voice, then you lost your faith, and now you don't hear them anymore? If I were you, that would make me believe alone. Maybe you should start listening again.

sb...- I most definitely believe in a higher conscienceness, or mass conscienceness. I don't know exactly what it is, or how it works. But, I know it is there. I have heard it explained like this. "Our body is made up of 50 trillion cells that make us, but we are not truely individuals. We are only cells which makes up the organism called humanity." It's an interesting theory anyway. Some Dr. who used to do stem cell reaserch on human cells walked off of his job one day when he realized what kind of forces he was playing around with.

But I heard a voice yesterday morning that freaked me out :S
"Fruängen, mamma ligger död" in english that means:
"Fruängen, mother lies dead" Fruängen is the place my mom works at,
she works for old people at an old ppl's home...
as soon as that voice came I jumped on the phone and called her,
she answered, I asked how she was,
and she said an old lady had just passed away :S

I went to a psyquiatric (did I spell it right) one day because all my life I been affecting by voices in my head and when I get there the secretary gave me a paper with some questions I have to answer....one of them was that if I hear voices and Itold her....I know many people who hear voices what in medical or scientific terms means that....and she told me that those are case of squizofrenia and that those people are crazy....so that was the last time I went there ... I did not answer yes to that question because I don't believe on chemicals treatments...you know...they always gives you a reciept of some kind of pills that kill slowly your mind. I prefer live as crazy...those voices have always guiding me but some of them are not good....I don't know where they came from but by now I am learning how to differ between the wise ones and the wrong ones. But the point is that you should be careful to whom you say you hear voices because many people thinks that people like that are crazy. By the way many of the greatest artists and philosophers (did I spell that right?) hear voices too in their lives.

I would never tell a doctor that I did not know on a personal level about the voice I heard. Even though I have only heard it once. They just want to push pills, and they are looking for the answers in the wrong place...

Yes I am agree with you....I new this before visit him but I wanted to know from someone profesional what was happening to me....but they always find mental illness in those things and rapidly they give you pills. I saw a movie (K-PACK) and is about this guy who says that he came from another world and rapidly people take him by crazy and he is internated in this mental institution and they wait to see if he changes his mind but he doesn't and they start to give him pills...one day he was in a locked room and he desappear...is just a resume but the movie is great.

I've seen it. It's a good movie. Kevin Spacey is a good kid. : )

Who are you talking to? You are wrong on my account, for sure. I know my 'inner-voice' or my conscience. This was something that was not my own. It was loud, booming, and very stern. Not like anything thing I have experienced in all of my days.

I wouldn't speak to anyone who ignored me or dispositioned my existance, as a Father if the children don't want to speak I can't make them, even if I want to have their conference or feel their is something important to talk about. But because I love them and they respect me I would speak to them if they need support or a warning. As you know when they arew shouted at or spoken to firmly, they might not understand but it is for love that this can happen. Its only that I care that I become angry. Renember we are all built in Gods image.

As far as God is concerned I believe he will only speak to people who 100% believe in him, renember the cosmos is infinate, God's love is the same. He wont have time for idle conversation, and if you had no belief in him he wouldn't waste his time to make you. God has many followers I believe, not all of which live here.

God may perform miriacles and be compassionate, merciful and loving, but like most fathers can become angry when his children don't listen. So next time this occurs Mr Grey I guess you'll be all ears, as you knew from your experience his warning came true, but I would be careful if I were you, the subconcious mind can be very powerfull. How do we not know that God is trying to warn you directly, if I were you I'd be waiting for the near miss, so the accident might be avoided. Accidents happen on a daily basis and the future can be altered very easily. God or no God, renember Mr Grey, we are all the masters of our own destiny.

"There WILL be an accident." is waayyyy too obscure, of course there will be an accident it doesn't give a time frame and the fact that there wasn't even an accident for a week futhur shows that it could apply to anything. The voice could be ranging from fatigue to simply being bored, also people minds are quite prone to interpretting deep sounds as voices, thats why you here your name said nobodies around. I fail to see how a voice that is in your head proves the existence of god or a higher being. And smithy, could you please enlighten me to these miracles you say he has preformed?
