I'm Kittin, and I want to share something that happened to me when I was probably about 6-years-old. I grew up in Lancaster, PA, which is where this took place. It was the very early 90's, late spring or early summertime, around 11pm.
My dad and I had just gotten back from Hershey Park. When I was this age I liked to play a game: pretend to be asleep, so dad will carry me in. This is exactly what I was doing, only tonight my dad didn't come around to get me- he left the car and went inside the house, figuring I'd wake up later on my own. I was kind of mad, so I just sat there in the passenger seat pouting for a few minutes. This is when I noticed something at the edge of the driveway by the shrubs and the small trees that lined the beginning of the steep, wooded hill that was our backyard. It was to the left, by the side of the house and our back porch. What I saw was a slightly bright, glowing lime-green light that reminds me now of sawmp-like, thick radiation gas (does that make sense?). It's height was approx. three feet; width about one foot. I remember feeling very confused, rubbing my eyes, knowing that there was no way this could be part of the shrubbery. It didn't do anything spectacular- but I just sat there very still, staring at it, and it began to look as if it was moving very slowly closer to the edge of the driveway. I started to get scared, and forced myself to get out of the car and run the few yards to my front door. When I got inside, I told my dad what I saw. He went outside to check things out, but when he came back in he said he hadn't seen anything. I might've been able to let this memory become forgotten, if it hadn't been for what I saw the following day. The next afternoon, I went to the spot where I had seen the light, and on the ground was a small circle of dead or burned grass, I couldn't tell which.
This experience may not seem very exciting or interesting, but it is a memory that has haunted me for quite some time. I'm almost 21 now, but this still bothers me. I'm wondering if there is anyone out there who may have heard of something like this happening before.

I wonder what it was doing sneaking around like that. You sure it wasn't just some thief trying to break in? Well then again it's not that often that a person can leave a burn mark in the grass when he/she steps on it.

Kittin,

Your story intrigues me in several ways. I have experienced many strange things in my life, and these -memories- have always stayed with me, even 40 years later. This sounds like the same for you. There are certain 'A-ha' moments in everyones life, where things you encounter may change the direction of the path you take later on. This was obviously one for you, so much so, that you think about years later, and it has brought you here.

I once encountered something in a location similar to yours, a steep wooded hillside out behind the house. It goes slightly beyond what you experienced. You can read about it here:

'My Turn'

I also suspect that if you experience 'contact' you do so early in life. It then continues throughout your life at certain intervals. Only you can decide whether or not what you experienced was ET, or something else. It doesn't sound like you experienced missing time and it it is unclear what you saw.

Anymore you can say about what you 'felt' it was ? Was it 'floating' ?

In the end Kittin, if you can avoid the pitfalls of UFO mythology, keep a clear head and read the right authors, your interest in things beyond yourself will have a profound effect on who you are becoming, and will become. It certainly forces one to think outside the box...and these day's, this is a very good thing smile.gif

Happy Trails to you.

Fascinating Cowbell...I too have had 'A-Ha' moments...where the pieces don't fit until much later in life and suddenly all becomes clear. Kittin your account makes good and interesting reading thank you for it.
