Well I've just finished reading the new posts and think perhaps I shall post here instead of a reply...today has not been a good day..in fact, today has been so bad that I'm at a loss...you see, I was supposed to be working tonight...unfortunately, I had to call in and stay home not only to watch my four yeard old but also my 11 year old niece...and of all the days, it couldnt have been worse...I was the only female available to work the shift tonight...but there was nothing I could do and I'm sitting here cursing my daughter's father for the lousy bastard that he is for not being a father... :mad: My sister (the mother of my niece) normally watches my kid while I'm at work or my mother does if she's not available...well, turns out my sister, brother in law, step dad and mom all went out of state this weekend to celebrate my sister's birthday on a mini-holiday..which put me in a hard situation at work because I was scheduled to be off but had to work this weekend to cover for the other female deputy who is sick...anyway, I managed to talk a friend of the family and her boyfriend into going over to my sister's and watching my kid and my sister's kid so I could work...so after working 12 hours last night, I get to my sister's house at 7 am this morning...exhausted because it was a rough friday night at work...and this is what I learn...

sometime around 2 am, my 11 year old niece and her three friends (ages 14,15 and 15) sneak out of the house to the front yard...once there they meet up with 2 car full of guys...6 guys total..and take the guys into the backyard...two of the guys are 19 years old and the other four are between 16 and 18...well, the two 19 year olds get my little niece drunk and one of them proceeds to 'make out' with her while the other one has his hands up her skirt...all the girls, including my niece are topless...this is the situation that the babysitter's boyfriend awakens to find and he only awakens to catch them because my kid is bawling her head off..well he goes out the backdoor and the guys all scatter...well when I get there at 7, you can imagine how pissed I was but the girls werent talking so...I hauled everyone of the girls, including my niece, down to juvenile detention and 'questioned' them there...finally, after scaring them half to death, I managed to get the full story and the first names and ages of the guys...I spent the rest of the day trying to track the guys down...not having no last names or addresses...it was difficult...by 5 pm, I had what I was looking for but because the incident transpired earlier and her parents were not there, we have to wait until Monday to pursue any charges...at 7 pm, I have to call my boss and say why I cant come in and the shit hits the fan..I dont know if I even could have worked if I did have a sitter because I had already been awake almost 48 hours...and now, finally, I've tried to get some sleep but I cant...shit I feel so bad...so very bad...

thanks took2...I was sick to stomach when I had to call my sister this morning and tell her what was happening...and I dont even know what to think of my niece...she's a child...a little girl!...but all she's concerned about is protecting the guys because she's got it into her head that she's 'a hottie because grown men want her' and I just cant make her see how truly sick these grown men are...I've talked to her today about it until I cant say anymore...

oh most likely they wont...maybe a little jail time is all...at this point, the charge will either be 'sexual misconduct' (misdemeanor) or 'unlawful transaction with a minor' because the act was stopped short of intercourse and it would be damn near impossible...though who are we kidding right?...to prove attempted rape...and the only way we're gonna get a sexual assault charge (felony) is if force was involved..which it wasnt...we might get a 'contributing to the delinquency of a minor' tacked on, if we're lucky, because they got her drunk...but, all in all, they will serve little time...one of them is a 'gang thug' and is currently on shock probation for attempted murder..this is the one had his hands where they dont belong...and he might be in serious trouble...the thing about that is that 3 weeks ago, my sister caught my niece and this guy in the backseat of her car late one night...they were talking and this guy was holding her hand and 'talking shit' to her...you know what I mean..well my sister threw him out into the street and told him to never step foot on her property or near her daughter again...she called him a 'child molester' and his response to my sister was that she was crazy...anyway, the following day, my sister reported the incident and the police let him off with a warning...that's it...now she's mad that the police arent doing more to protect her daughter...and so am I...its out of my jurisdiction and there's little I can do...I've talked to the police in her town all day but with the way the law is structured..well, what more can I say...

Honestly, tonight...I've felt like quitting...seriously...and I'm also angry that my daughter had to be put in that situation last night...and god knows how many previous situations that she's been put in that neither I nor my sister know about by being over there...and I've noticed that for the past month she's been very vocal about not wanting go over to her cousin's house...I thought it was just because she was missing me while I was at work...now I just dont know...I'm angry at her father because he's not here for her...damn it all to hell...the reason why he's not here is because while I was pregnant with her, he was messing around with a 13 year old inmate at the local jail...and he was a deputy!

I feel so sick and angry and helpless...

Yikes!

Man 22, that just suxs. Those boys should be severly punished, and I really hope your neice smartens up and realises what she is doing aint cool. I guess hanging out with older girls will make want to act older and think she can handle it, but she is still a child. All i can say is I wish you luck with your job and only you will know what the right decision will be. Is there no other work you can do during the day so you can be home at night with your child?

Oh 2-2 I am so sorry to hear about this incident, right now I wish I could board a plane and be at your side, and take all this aggravation away from you,( I hope you have someone close by that you can hug and beat on the chest right now), these callous b*st**ds need castrating and they're hands cut off, then a public flogging, and then made to be someones bitch in prison for at least 25 yrs to life with hard labour.

I hope they do get prosecuted, but most of all... I hope the girls get to realise just how close they came to being raped, and learn a valuable lesson from this experience. :mad:

yea, you stated that she thinks she a hottie because of this, well i know lots of girls 16-20 something that think that guys like them, but in fact its becaus ehtey are really easy and that they sleep with almost anyone who ask them, but they claim the guys do it beause they like and love them. i really dont know what saying this will do, but i just ztated it. :confused:

Well just an update for those who expressed concern....

I had a favor and call it in...so here's the line up at present..

19 yr old white male- 1 count sexual assault in the 1st (incapable of consent, child under 12), 8 counts contributing to the delinquency of a minor, 1 count unlawful transaction with a minor, issued DVO

18 yr old black male- 1 count sexual assault in the 1st (incapable of consent, child under 12), 1 count criminal tresspass, 8 counts contr. to the delinq. of a minor, probation revoked from previous sentence, issued DVO

4 16,17 yr old black and white males- issued DVO (do not violate order) against

All the girls involved have been warned, by detectives, against any future delinquent behavior and have been disciplined by their parents. My sister is in a difficult position because while my niece did wrong and understands that she did wrong, she is still a victim and does not understand why she is a victim. Anyway, just thought I'd say that the men will be punished. I've made sure of it.

thats good, i tihink thye need a bit more punishing, but our justice system wont do much more.
