I do not know how much this subject has been touched upon in the past but I thought it would be an interesting subject to bring up.

I recall getting a totally bizarre call back in 1981.
That was the year I moved to an apartment in Oshkosh, Wis., south of town 4 or 5 miles.
There were strange reports of UFOs in the area and there had been reports of haunted homes ner the area as well.
At the time I was very deep and serious into meditation and mind/psychic developement and had become quite psychic through my lengthy efforts.
The incident took place in the late summer. I remember it was evening and a late hour, say 11:00 or so. I answered the phone after some time, as it took me a bit to get my mind together and the phone was 2 rooms away. A woman's voice was on the other end speaking in a very odd broken enclish about something I had that she needed. I asked her to clairify but she would only repeat. I asked her what number was she trying to call? She repeated my exact number. The voice faded in and out slightly as if it were broadcasted over airwaves. There was also very odd beeps and sounds of mechanisms.
I asked her to tell me where she was calling from, but she would not answer.
After several frustrating minutes of this I appologized to her and said I could not understand and had to go. I hung up. Believe it or not after thinking about this weird call some 20 minutes or so, I decided to lift the reciever, sure enough the line was still open with the same add sounds. I hung back up a left it.
To this day I do not know what kind of call that was. A foreiner calling from overseas who was given an incorrect number, connection with a ghost, alien, other dimension or ?

I called at my mother in laws one night , phone rang twice , and sounded like someone had picked up the receiver . Well , I could hear the TV and laughing . My step son was watching a comedy . I kept waiting for him to say HELLO , and nothing . Finally about 15 minutes later , he picked up the phone and SAID HELLO , ANYBODY there ? I say , well , ABOUT TIME. he said he looked down and seen the red light indicting the phone was on . He said the phone haD not RANG . hmmmmmmmmmm ...... WEIRD huh ?

NOT the 1st. weird stuff happen in that house .

Back then, I also, frequently, would suddenly have a thought to call a family member. I would pick up the phone to call them only to find them on the other end totally bewildered because I lifted the reciever before it rang!!
