anyone ever seen a giant lighting ball falling down out of the blue on a night time but not raining?

i google ball lighting but only shows small size.. anyone ever seen a gigantic lighting ball?

Giant? As in how big?

I have seen ball lightning.

my step dad thinks he has about 15 years ago while driving back to Enfield, London, UK on a summer night. a large ball,bright green in colour fell from the sky,bounced off the sidewalk and into a field where it disappeared from view.it startled him,slightly swerving.he said this green ball was the size of a disco ball,travelled fast and seemed unatural.he convinced there were many witnesses as he was on a relatively busy road.i said back then maybe it was a ufo,he said if you can't take it apart,or repair it,or make a better version, it ain't worth thinking about!typical!!!

Did he say anything about the weather at the time?

sound to me it could of been an orb or just a ball of NRG..

I've seen a giant one (it could have been anywhere between a baseball size or slightly larger) a long time ago traveling below some power lines in the countryside, and there was no storm or rain.

thick cloud,had been summer thunder storms.

I seen one one time, appear inside a restraunt I was in.
While there was no storm outside , there was one not far away and thick black clouds were passing overhead.

aren't similar types of anomoly occur about the same time as earthquakes.energy surges released as balls of energy and light.

I have read that, but I do not think they appears the same as ball lightning...but I could be wrong.

When I was a teenager, riding in my parents car during a heavy storm. Lightning hit a tree beside the road. A ball of lightning slightly larger than a basketball traveled across the road over hood of car. Very scarry.

I don't know what my husband, me, my daughter and her boyfriend saw about 43 years ago , but I can still see it in my minds eye when I think about it.
We were taking our daughter and her boy friend back to his house in Crowland Lincolnshire.
It was a lovely warm evening and we were enjoying the drive when we suddenly saw this huge huge ball descending very slowly .It only looked a few fields away and it looked like a small planet.
It was masive and we sure it was going to hit the ground. It looked like a sinking sun but it wasn't. It was so near.
We dropped off our daughter and boyfriend at his house then went back and tried to see if we could see if this thing had landed on the ground but we could see no sign of it.
We asked the mother of our daughters boyfriend if any thing had been in the local paper about it but there wasn't .
If it was ball lightning, I didn't know it could be so big

Sounds more like a UFO. Was it storming at the time? Did it seem to be moving under control or at random?

Just realised I had put 43 years ago. I meant 23years. I know Im getting on a bit but not that old.
It was a lovely warm calm evening.no storm.
I hadn't thought of it as a ufo but it was coming down so slowly and it was so big it may have been under controll.I wish now we had stopped to watch it but we had to get the young ones back.
Also, it may have been further away than we thought as it was so big.
There was no other traffic about at the time
It just looked like a massive orangey red ball.

That doesn't sound like ball lightning at all.
Basketball size is the largest I have ever heard or read.

There have been UFO sightings off objects as you described.

We were so amazed at the size of it we just thought there was going to be a huge explosion when it hit the ground but it obviously didn't.
I carn't remember feeling frightened but I do wish we had stopped to see what happener to it.

No, it was orangey red., but honestly,it was masive .We just didn't know what it was but it didn't accur to us that it might have been a ufo .It just looked like a small planet slowly decending,
