It was a cable channel show about the launching of Atomic bombs
over Japan. It had crew taken film of the launch and apparently untouched by Intel agencies. The story focus was about how the training was for the launch maneuver of the Immelman flight path. A straight up, push out that cut down on flight drift from the target. I hardly think that was easy to do and forward flight speed might disturb the detonation but I hardly think a few feet off horizontally could mean little. In any case it was reported that German marking were seen on the bomb. Anyone know about this conspiracy theory. |

I remember seeing something titles "The German Atomic Bomb" or something similar to that on Disc/Hist channel not too long ago and it also said that the nazis were sending a prototype to Japan but that sub was sunk by the allies in the Pacific. But it was no secret that the nazis were working on a nuke too, at least not a secret today. There was somewhat of a 'race' for the first nuke towards the end of WWII. It is a well known fact that most of the principal developers of our own atomic program were Germans, albeit not nazis.
Is that the one you were referring to? -------------------- "They say time is the fire in which we burn." -Dr. Soran

The Nazis were unable to produce their bomb because British special forces destroyed their heavy water plant in Norway.
The Germans did send subs with tech. info to Japan but it was too little too late.. the most interesting example was the blueprint for the ME 163 KOMET rocket fighter.. the example never made it, just the blue prints so Japan had to back engineer the little fighter from just blue prints. The completed 1 or 2 copies but they were never used. |

I remember hearing the show advertised and thinking I should have some one
record it. So then on the net I get this German markings comment. http://www.signalalpha.com/html/atomic_bomb.html See black painted areas on bomb: http://www.signalalpha.com/FatManAtomicBom...ith_caption.jpg Black painted area on the Atomic bombs always wondered what was the purpose. If original photos had markings the only 'cgi' way back then was to black out the areas. Now when displaying replicas the black paint comes with it. Yellow must have been the original color. I'm not much on the color of German ordnance as color film from that era is still given out to us as black and white. Here is another WWII Atomic bomb related fact or fiction to keep this rolling for awhile. In 1933 Einstein came to America. Willy Ley also around that time. A TV documentary (US CIA Intel generated?) on PBS about the man who saved America because he saw German Atomic bomb plans and thought hey this is serious and got Einstein to write a letter to FDR to start the Manhattan Project around 1943. Now Einstein did not work on the German A bomb but is said he brought the plans with him hoping America would use it on Germany. That is 10 years verses 3 years and we might have used German plans to start with. So the Los Alamos and Manhattan Project Atomic bombs are part of a big lie. The two bombs were handed over to Truman and got rid of the evidence. Ten years of Atomic bomb construction, but no delivery system in Germany. Who was running that war. There were three delivery systems and only one was a plane never constructed, yet two bombs were ready. That goes against German construction of a bomb.. just dumb planning. One note for perhaps a Neutron bomb was Rommel's North African campaign to test a bomb. He had postcards of New York with a mushroom cloud superimposed. America's Trinity Site is the first atomic bomb detonation buy seemingly the strategic advantage of killing the people with neutrons and leaving the buildings standing was working to our advantage.
