I'm a CIO of a small hotel management company. Anyway, I find it fun, and also educational to use as many operating systems as possible to help understand the uses and difficulties of our company's clients. Anyway, if you read in my blog about about how I feel about Microsoft you will understand I have no ill will towards them. In fact I own a lot of stock with them. However, I still dual boot with Ubuntu, which I have fallen in love with. Does anyone else use a Linux Distro, or other Unix based OS? The Mac OS is Unix based by the way. Also, what do you like and not like about your OS. If you use WinXP or Vista, go ahead an post what you like and don't like about them as well.

Hello folks. I just wanted to put up a post so others can see where I am coming from when I make posts in other threads. First of all, thank you for having this community. It's pretty nice to find a place to discuss certain things that will raise eyes in a more public forum. Let me run down some of my particular beliefs. All these can change with proper evidence.
1. No one knows what really is going on. If they claim they do, then they are either seriously delusional or just out and out lying for some sort of personal gain, not necessarily money. 2. I don't know if ETs or EBEs are real. I have never met one. But there is a lot of great evidence out there that they are very real. 3. There are no indigo children or star children. Anyone who claims they are are either crazy or have been manipulated into believing so by someone who is trying to either make a name for themselves or juice money out of someone. (Amazing how the "12 questions" can fit anybody who researches the UFO phenomenon, and for only 300 bucks some new age quack can help you release your true potential. Reminds me of one case where some gullible mother of her poor child was trying to use this explanation to convince her husband she didn't cheat on him, but that the child that was an alien baby. Thank Coast to Coast for that little call in.) 4. UFO conferences are there just to make money off of crap videos, little ceramic statues of "Greys", new age diet supplements, and cheap overpriced jewelry to help your internal energy source. It's a bunch of crap. 5. Most "abductees" are either delusional or out and out lying in order to gain some sort of attention they can't get in their average day to day life. (Please don't respond saying you are an abductee and act offended. I won't respond. A great documentary to see some of these folks is Penn and Teller's BS show. The one about UFOs and aliens.) 6. Some folks could be "abductees". But if they are I am pretty sure new age drivel won't be dripping from their lips like puree pees from a baby's mouth. (Quick list of folks that maybe abductees; Travis Walton, Betty and Barney Hill, some of the folks that worked John Mack, but not all. Not a real huge list.) 7. Most of the famous names in UFOlogy were born upside down and crap comes out of their mouths. Dr. Greer, Dan Burisch, David Wilcock, John Lear, and the list goes on and on. 8. Some names in UFOlogy are legit and should be listened to intently. Stanton Friedman is on top of this very short list. 9. Some names in UFOlogy are straight in it for the money and succeeding well. They really don't care about the truth, they just want a great story. There is nothing wrong with this. Art Bell, George Noory, Linda Multon Howe, and most of the folks at Coast to Coast AM. Usually none of their guests however make this list. 10. Some names in UFOlogy think they know what's going on, some of what they say maybe true, but some of it maybe false. However they refuse to see when they are wrong. Jim Marrs, Alex Jones. (I know Jones isn't really a big UFO guy, but he truly believes a lot of the stuff he reports. Yes, many of his reports are based on real documentation he finds, but he misinterprets the information. Always do your own homework.) 11. If everything that is reported is real, then the ETs aren't here to be our friends. If given the chance they should be killed on site or captured and interrogated. After all this is our planet and our home. We have a right to defend it from intruders and thieves. 12. The Bible is mostly correct, except for the fact it was rewritten by the Roman Empire in order to control the people. (Think about it. You have a book that is written in Hebrew, Greek, and other tongues, but never written in Latin due to those that spoke Latin at the time were the enemy was magically translated to Latin only. There's a lot of other evidence for this, but not only is this a thread unto itself, it's a whole other site.) 13. There's no NWO. I have worked for the US government and with other governments in my career most of my adult life. This, like any other large organization, doesn't know what either left hand or right hand are doing, much less the fingers, feet, toes, nose, insert minuscule body part are up to. 14. Politics is all about money. No big conspiracy, just how can I vote on laws and budgets that will get my friends richer, thus making me richer. 15. Iraq is not about oil. Been there, was there, was there for far too long. Not about oil. 16. The Church of Satan is for Goth folks looking for attention. 17. The Church of Lucifer is for Goth folks that were so out of the loop they were despised by the Church of Satan folks. 18. No one can predict the future. 19. History is written by the victors, but is mostly true. 20. Rewritten History is rewritten by those that feel more than they learn. History is not touchy feely, it's just straight facts. Live with it. 21. Mass media isn't controlled by some insidious NWO. It's controlled by "what will most people watch?" More people will watch news about crap than about boring real issues, thus the crap gets aired. The more the viewers, the more the advertising dollars. 22. Never believe someone who tells you they know everything about any subject, especially religion. Someone can know more, but they can't know all. 23. Church on TV is a big clue that the person on the TV talking about Jesus is full of crap. 24. Everything can be explained with science. 25. There is a God, and there was/is a Jesus. 26. Science is a tool used to understand God. 27. Preachers are mostly full of crap. 28. Beware the person that has the answer to everything. 30. Pluto is a planet. 31. There is no planet X, if there is it isn't colliding with Earth anytime soon. 32. Global Warming is a crock. The sun is getting warmer, all the planets in our solar system are getting warmer. In fact, CO2 in our atmosphere is helping counter act the effects of the warmer sun. It could be worse, look at what's going on with Mars and Venus. 33. It doesn't mean we should stop looking for a better energy source. I would love a car I don't have to fill up ever again. Saves me money. Heck, free electricity in my house and free high speed internet would be nice too. 34. 2012 will come and go and all that will happen is a bunch of New Age nuts will hopefully commit suicide. That'd be nice. 35. Except for Thanksgiving and Halloween, all other holidays are just days for me to have off. You should live everyday as if it is special. I'll add more later if I see they need to be posted. Thank you. |
