I accidentally ran across this tonight.
I have no recollection of ever reading about this before.
It is very odd indeed.

SD......that is a very interesting article.....I can't really tell from his discription...I guess I'll have to read it a few more times.....its a pity he never got a pic....though it makes perfect sense he didn't at the time.

Europe has a number of these caves.

I read about this about a year ago. Although it is a very well written story, in the end it is just another story with some black and white photos of some people, a sketch, and a photoshopped image with a tacky lens flare. No images or proof whatsoever.

These kind of stories (hoaxes) all rely on one thing: good writing and good entertainment value.

Have you seen Indiana Jone's Sr Diary? Full of stuff and notes and scribbles and newspaper cuttings. Very cool. Not real, of course.

I have not seen any proof this story is a hoax. It is possible, naturally. But until I see convincing evidence this is nothing more than a fabricated story...I pass no judgement...yet.

Maybe I shouldn't have said 'hoaxes', and just stuck with 'stories'. This is a well written story that is hard to disprove because it is well written and choreographed.

SD....I agree with you there....but there just is not enough hard evidence....but what he writes well and what he writes is not impossible......I'd pass no judgement until I got more info myself......until then I'll just be skeptical......

If I had the money, I'd check this one out myself.
I'd fly over there and look for that cave.

Ted Phillips has reportedly gone there researched the area and found the entrance to the cave.
He and a small team are working to get to the artifact.
A Russian team is also searching for it.
He knew the original discoverer and got first hand full story on it.
