What's this?

http://www.universetoday.com/2008/08/02/th...r-life-on-mars/

This makes the second mention I have seen about this. Has NASA got something they are itching to say?

Even if it is not an announcement of life (unlikely), it could be something to the effect of key signs that life was once extant on Mars. The Earth like soil BTW is a BIG hint.

This is a fun report I got. I picked out parts for consideration and divided them into sections. It should also be noted this guy got overly wordy so I broke it up:

Forcefields and barriers

"It uses ultraviolet light out of what appears to be a very intense florescent tube. The light is then past across a space like a door way and forms a solid barrier.... It is just a very intense thin sheet of ultraviolet light... Any air particles or contact makes the sheet glow at the point of contact while it also stops the object with what is an amazing amount of force... At this time I do not know if a catalyst is used to get the ultraviolet light to do this."

"The outer skin of the craft is not what was expected. It is strong yet thin. I am amazed at both it's strength and that it is thin enough to cut. Something approaching paper thin. ... It seems to be a composite of magnesium and a sulfate... in a layered... making a sandwich with magnesium on the outside...."

"Possibly as protection, a heavy magnetic system exists under the hull, it surrounds the craft. It is our guess that it serves to protect the craft by projecting strong magnetic waves pushing away anything that gets withing range...."

Hand held weapons

"Able to be held just like a gun.... It uses something like a laser to provide a rang of electromagnetic wavelengths... a chamber to collect and condense the trapped light. It would appear the destructive potential is in the condensed volume of electromagnetic.... On impact it hits with surprising force. Lower settings produce a burning,... higher levels impact like a high caliber bullet. ...from what seems to be condensed light alone... estimated one foot in length (the bar of light used as a projectile).... It also produces a kickback and loud explosive sound similar to a standard gun."

"...kept with eating utensils.... it looks surprisingly just like a small lightsaber when active... From what we can tell, it is used like a common steak knife while eating... it has obvious applications as a weapon."

"...larger and looks as if it was meant to be strapped to the wrist... A large opening at the front. The highly condensed sound waves even produce a visible discrepancy when the device it fired... one test the device was tested on sand... and caused the sand to react with small but explosive results... On the test subject, (an animal) it produced extreme pain and immediate discoloration... the subject died in moments."

"... as a grenade like weapon. It even has a pin that needs to be pulled to set off the weapon.... Caused a very loud concussion... no harmful projectiles... it seems to get all of it's destructive force from the shockwave created. The wave is a standard explosive effect but with out heat or other assisted damage. ...has more than enough force to kill a person at close range... at greater distances it's primary function would seem to be that it can though people up to an estimated 20-40 feet. Our estimates are that it is used to disrupt and temporarily incapacitate anyone in the area."

That is all for now. This stuff is clearly Sci-Fi, but stuff you may not run into else where. One of the key notables was how common things like light and sound could be "condensed" into applications one may never think possible. Please take this as nothing more then an a what if sort of Sci-Fi gadgetry. A sort of extreme application of things you would not readily think to use them for and ways you may never thought possible.

Someone asked me what time was. I thought you guys might like to know what I said. I figure it is about the right time for a new understanding of what time is. So I answered the question.

" 'What is time?' That is a good question.

All things in this universe have a rhythm or a change that is like a rhythm. What is a rhythm? It is a repeating cycle that contains a start, change in state and a stop were it then repeats with a new start.

Anything in this universe can be broken down into this rhythm and rhythms into rhythms. But remember that time is a change. It is the number of rhythms that determines the rate of change. It is the amount of change that determines time. If something has a long cycle of rhythm, than it has little time.

So that you can understand this, an example is a person that is slow verses a person that is fast. One got more done at the end of the day. Thus one had more time. But both got to the end of the day.

Some people have referred to time as an illusion for this reason. Both people in the above example will have made it to the end of the day. It was the same day. But still, one got more done thus he had more time. So time is a change. The amount of change that occurred is the amount of time that past.

At one end of a scale is no time, where there is no change. At the other end is the illusion of a high rate of change and thus lots of time.

You can see this in Physics, make something cold and it slows and often last longer, heat it up and it speeds up and is gone faster simply by changing.

If you use a clock, it has a steady rate of change, thus it has the same amount of time from moment to moment, this would not be true if the rate of change was not constraint. And in fact a clock is judged mainly by how constant it's change will be. The relativity of time requires us to use constants so that we can agree on how much time has past and not get lost in all this relativity. If the Earth ran by your relativity, we would have long days and short days based on your speed of rhythm cycles.

That we use the cycles of the Earth and think all things have had the same amount of time is the illusion. The passage of time was relative. Just because one person moved faster and got more done does not mean he will age faster than the other guy, as that is measured by his body, not how fast he ran, as rhythms are all over the place. And the body has found something to judge it's rhythms so you can tear it up by being in a hurry and not get older. But speed it up, or slow it down beyond the rhythms it has to work with and it will die. Go too slow at work and it will not make enough money or change fast enough to survive.

Thus time is an state of change that all things have. And thus time is relative to each rhythm when held up to how many rhythms other things had.

The idea that moving at the speed of light will change this is false if it does not affect the speed of a rhythm's cycles. And the idea that time is out of your control is the product of people that forget that time is relative to the speed of your rhythms and the illusion that the same amount of time has past for you and me in a day, year, decade, millennium, etc,...

If you understand what I have written then you will understand time, there is no other factor to time that dictates it's passing. Apart from rhythms, speed and time are disrelated. The overall passage of time is the illusion created by all the change that has occurred. If you look at the change that has occurred for any object, you will see the amount of time that has past for that object. That we us the Earth is just a standard, so that we can all get along in all this mind boggling amount of relativity. If anything ever had absolutely no change, by the rules of this universe, it would have no time, it would no linger persist and would vanish, never to be seen or have any influence ever again."

Just saw this, this is one of those simple things that science has always mist. Thinking on a small scale, as they do. But here comes a sign that they are learning.

http://space.newscientist.com/article/dn11...ic-fields-.html

NASA is is finally looking at using the magnetic field of the Earth as a heavier than air method of travel. (This is a simple but capable system) This is what "UFO"s use.

If NASA really researches this out, we may finally get a name for this kind of craft and not the oxymoron of "UFO" to mean "An identified craft of alien origin".

I have seen a number of comments on a "base" on the back side of the moon.

In a video about ex-officials coming forward about alien information withheld from the public by our government, (found on youtube.com its from the Disclosure Project. DON"T CLICK THE LINK YET http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vyVe-6YdUk This video is 2 hours long and the guy says it in under a minute, so check it out if you have the time) a guy mentions buildings and what not on the back side of the moon.

This and other information has prompted me to post some information about it. If you have any information you would like to add, feel free.

In a movie about a guy that got abducted called "Ring of Fire", the guy ends up in this base. His story says that he woke -after abduction- in a small cubbyhole and found out really fast that the gravity was light, all the walls were gray and that it is in a real mess. Also that the aliens are real creeps that like to dress in creepy outfits and like to %$#@ (<-another word for Swiss cheese) with people's minds.

While listening to Art Bell's radio program called "Coast to Coast" A guy mentioned that he rented a big telescope months in advance, only to have some government guys tell him to get lost when he finally got his chance. Well, he had a key to the place and the urge to find out what this was about. There, he found pictures of a "thing" moving across space that the guys had labeled "milk run" as it was always on time. It came every 3 months and stopped behind the moon, then departed. NASA later put gizmo's into the moon's surface that register a "quake" at this time every 3 mouths and told them it had arrived or departed. These gizmo's are dead at the moment, but Japan wants to out some more on the moon in another 5 years with NASA's help.

Another source I can not mention (you will just have to take my word for it that I didn't dream this up) stated that the base had been there for some time. It has 15 levels (all underground) and is used to watch us here on earth. It had a number 23 designation indicating it is the 23rd established in this system (not that all of the others are still running). They get their air and basic supplies from Earth. The base is arranged so that to go between each of the 15 levels, you need to go up to level 1 (made possible by the low gravity and a simple jump), then to a whole that goes down to the level you want. (I think you get a hint of this in the "Ring of Fire" movie after he creates a ruckus)

And last, that their language looks and sounds allot like Chinese.

While many people have their own opinions, I have selected these for my own reasons as accurate. Feel free to add your own.
