I had a vision of heaven last week. I have heart problems. I was going up a rather long and steep set of outdoor stairs, and well I don't get up the stairs as well as I once did. When I got to the top, I was completely out of breath, and my heart was beating so hard and so fast. My heart started to flutter. I got dizzy, light-headed and a little nauseous. I thought I was going to faint. And suddenly the whole world glowed with a bright light, and the whole sky and the world shattered like glass and flew apart ... and behind it was another world that looked exactly the same, only brighter, cleaner, newer. It was so beautiful, so breathtakingly peaceful and beautiful.

Then the shattered glass seemed to reassemble itself and I was back in the regular, less-perfect world. I was a bit shaky, but I moved on.

The thing is, about 18 months ago, I had a bad spell where I went into respiratory distress. I had exerted myself a bit, then I started having 'trouble' and had to lie down. I had breathing problems, couldn't seem to take a breath or let it out, and then I just stopped breathing. At first, it was fear itself: dreadfully uncomfortable, like drowning. However, after a bit, all the pain and discomfort left me, I realized I wasn't breathing, but it was completely okay. I no longer felt a desire to breathe. I felt golden. It was the most wonderful, the most beautiful feeling I have ever felt in all my life. I thought then, and still think, "If this is what heaven is going to be like, we have vastly underestimated it."

You see, the place I saw last week 'felt' like that feeling I had 18 months ago. It was unlike anything on this Earth. I know all about how anoxia can cause euphoria and hallucinations. I get that. However, what if I really was on death's door 18 months ago? What if I did see heaven last week? I've begun to wonder if these glimpses are to get me ready, to help me not be afraid and to help me accept my fate when my time really does come.

Do you think heaven could be here, that it could look exactly like this world, only better? Are ghosts simply people who have found the glass wall between our worlds, allowing them to see us and us to see them? I wonder about these things.

I have to say again: If what I saw was a glimpse of heaven, I can only say we have underestimated it.

I've had similar experiences, but I view them quite differently -- I tend to sub in the "Astral Planes" theory rather than that of heaven as I am primarily atheist but live by LaVeyen Satanism, which is not "Devil Worship" as many believe. I would say that what you experienced was a portal to the next Astral plane where peace and happiness are much more apparent than down on this earth, the lowest plane.

There is quite a lot of evidence to disprove Gods existence, at least the "Almighty God" that Christians believe in. Christianity is after all just an amalgamation of Roman-Sun worship, Paganism and Mithraism. I do however believe in the existence of the source of all energy in the universe, which is where the astral planes rise upto.

The spirit world is very real as are many NDEs.
Separation even briefly can allow one to feel as you would without your physical worldly body. It is a powerful experience, like no other.

the statement "the spirit world is very real" is objective, yet you have no proof, i'm not saying it isn't real, i'm just saying, there is not enough proof to say it is "definitely" real. Firstly, NDEs can mainly be explained by science, it is a natural thing that happens when we are dying, as all NDEs have the same sort of things in common. They nowhere near constitute proof of any spirit world
And as for heaven, the idea of an objective heaven is not possible, it may be what people want but it isn't feasible, there are lots of problems with it, meaning if heaven exists it is subjective and individual and therefore would not collide with out world

Objective...yes, but it is very real from my standpoint. I have experienced enough and learned enough to be more than, simply convinced.

What I have learned is that the spirit world is nothing more than a resting place of the mind. A place where most all things are manipulated by our minds. We see and experience mostly what we expect to because our minds control 80% our reality.

Hi. i'm Christian but I'm not going to give you a sermon dry.gif, seeing as I think that Satanism has a variety of different forms. Satanism is really a no rules religion. So Satanism can have different meanings to everyone who believes in it. I DO think that there are some Satanist who do the whole black mass, sacificial, devil-worshipping bit, but I do think that there are some that DO worship Satan as an underdog symbol not so much as an actual diety. I don't personally agree with Satanism, but I'm not going to hold a gun to your head and tell you to praise Jesus and such, it's your choice. I think the "Astral Planes" theory and Heaven are very similar. And actually I do know where you come from with the Pagan rituals and sun-god worship because I have read that Christianity was altered by Constantine to accomadate both the Pagans and the Christians so, like a kid playing with Play-doh, Constantine morphed the two. BUT that being said I find it proper to follow the teachings of Jesus. But would your description not make the "Astral Planes" theory the same as Heaven? I mean you can call the color blue, blue or azul, but it's still the same color.
