    Default Tel Aviv, Antiquities Authority Join Forces

    To Display Archaeological Artifacts Across City


    The Tel Aviv municipality may soon launch a broad initiative to restore and display archaeological artifacts across the city, deputy-mayor Meital Lehavi told Haaretz.

    The plan, to be done in close cooperation with the Antiquities Authority, intends for large local artefacts to be presented in parks, squares and other public areas. The pilot for the program will be launched in 10 parks around the city already located close to archaeological sites. (…)

    Yes, interesting. Many civilisations suffered the same affliction from heating and cooking in poorly ventilated areas. Thing is, they didn't live long enough for it to do any real damage in later life.

    Scientists have revealed that bones found in a German cathedral are those of one of the earliest members of the English royal family.

    The remains of Queen Eadgyth, who died in 946, were excavated in Magdeburg Cathedral in 2008.
