I'm very dubious on this, for a start how would something covered in mud and described as a piece of rock make a metallic sound when hitting the floor.? especially something so small.....sounds like they are just trying to give a wow we were lucky we dicovered this.... <_<
As i said very dubious....
Although time travel is an awesome concept to dream about, I would assume that it is more likely that the tomb was disturbed and the tomb raiders left a memento ;)
Just a question: how do they know that it was 10:06 AM? I enlarged the image but I don't see an AM/PM indicator panel.
Remember the movie Time Bandits.
It rates up there with Life of Bryan, Bladerunner, and Brother where art thou as one of the all time greats.
If I could make holes in time I would use it to get stinking rich as well.
I gave my first wife a ring like that. In time she slipped away, so who knows where she left that ring.
If she is using my time holes to get stinking rich then I want my cut. Just got to find out when she is.
SD....I agree with Fen here....I find it very dubious. They did have metal during the Ming Dynasty. This "watch" was described as a ring and since a ring is typically made of metal....it would make a metallic sound upon falling. Besides since they knew about time and clocks.....whose to say they person just didn't have a time of significance put on a ring that was made for them.........and I was wondering why they had to tell us a pocket watch was kept in a pocket.
IMO....its nothing more than headline grabbing
I am a skeptical as you guys.
We know that literal time travel is not possible, at least not within our universe.
I am wondering if it isn't a ploy for something. An attention getter for perhaps a upcoming watch commercial?
That would be hilarious, i wouldnt be surprised.
"Since the dawn of time, man has mourned great things put to petty uses"
What makes this smell of BS is the fact that the arms were frozen at 10:06. It's irrelevant whether it's am or pm as the face does appear to be analogue anyway. If you look at almost every picture advertising watches (with analogue displays) the time is always shown as 10:10 as this is considered to be aesthetically pleasing. For this timepiece to be located in a tomb, displaying this same (or similar) time - I just find a little funny.
smoking.....I never noticed that before.....it is rather odd that they show almost the same time.... :blink:Quote:
