Default Mother Nature Will Take us Down

the second coming was supposed to be easily recognized because mother nature would be berserrk. In the past few years we've had massive wildfires, famine, new diseases such as bird flu and sars, tidal waves, horrible hurricanes, melting polar caps, horrific flooding and tornadoes all over the entire world. Thailand, the mid west, hurricane katrina...and the fact that these two new potentially deadly diseases are just surfacing shows that its coming. In the mid west, was there not a plague of locusts that hadnt been seen in decades not more than 5-10 years ago???? I feel that the end of the world, second coming, apocalypse or whatever is going to be mother natures slap across the face to us. perhaps another noahs ark scenarios because the world has become too arrogant, inconsiderate, and ignorant. Just a thought...just somethin to think about. :headscrat

Well, Mother Nature might play a part, but.. all of those things you have mentioned have been around and have happened for centuries and before. Natural disasters are older than man. Just because we have the technology to predict them, or warn of their coming, does not mean that the number is greater today than in the past. What about volcanoes? Rarely do we see a volcanic eruption, and they happened all of the time during the dawn of man and before.

Also, if you believe in the Bible (you mentioned Noah's Ark), then you know that the world will never be flooded as a way of destruction again. The symbolism of the rainbow was (is) God's promise to Noah and all generations that the Earth will never be flooded again.

I believe that fire will be the element of distruction - either by way of Nuclear War or maybe Meteor. Just my two cents.

Some have been saying there is a Super Volcano under Yellowstone National Park, that could be due to Erupt. It would do some Serious Damage to the Earth. There has been programs and even a made for TV movie about it recently.

The Discovery Channel has this on it:

    Well said, I agree
the only new disasters that the earth is facing is the ones that we created,
Oil shortages, Global warming, energy consumption, over population etc!!

The earth is going to do whatever it wants, Humans need to realize that they are just along for the ride!.... and we need to treat it better!
I mean come on, we move thousands of people and industry right next to the ocean, then dig a hole "below sea level" build houses, then say it was a natural disaster when the water comes in?, It sounds more like a planned disaster to me.
Famine and disease in africe? south america?... who is letting these people have 10 - 12 kids at a time in an invironment that cant sustain human life anyway?

    Sorry bout the rant,

Actual, Global Warming may be a symptom of natural climate change compounded by man. The Cold War's mass industialzation is what accelerated the process, many like to blaim America by itself, but the Soviet Union is the real main source of the mass amounts of polution created after the end of the Second World War.

Besides, global climate changes may have no remedy, after all, we are really just living between Ice Ages...

No point blaiming it on Certain countrys.... Its everyones fault

Britian, Testing the Biggest Atomic bomb at Christmas Island, and seting of 2 Hydrogen bombs there
    America, Nakasaki and Hiroshima
And every other country involved in Nuclear Programs,

Every Car, Everytime you smoke, Every Single Fire contributes

Really, there is no one that hasnt Contributed to it

No Xeno, the former Soviet Union and Warsaw Pact nations were horrible pollution creaters, they used substandard coal, and had no concept of emmision control.

You can say "It's always happened", I myself have pointed that out. But the truth is the truth, Global Warming is happening, And its not common that 4 Hurricanes that are cat3 or higher, will Slam into the same location in one season. Trust me, Indians and the settlers had documented things in writing or from word of mouth.

You have flowers popping up at the north pole. Something very big is happening.

I have a hard time explaining this, But as more people are occupying the planet, more diseases occure, more need to cure these diseases and so more push for technology to help ease the pressure of over crowding. Which leads to more research which is why we are becoming more and more advance (Plus, reverse engeneering might have something to do with it as well).
More people, more methane and more consumption is depleting this world and causing nature to compensate for her losses. What I'm trying to say is, We push for technology only when there is a high demand. It is this technology that is destroying the planet. All these radio wave and microwaves and nuclear testing and biological testing and adding chemicals to our fuels and wanting to smell fresh for our girlfriends by using aerosoles and coming up with new drugs to make people live longer which doesnt help overpopulation very much is why the planet is dying. Oh, I know Im just as guilty, I dont want to die at 42 as was once the average age in the world, but it is why we are dying off.

Also, Look at it this way, We have cameras today so more events are recorded which proves nothing has changed, but we're seeing more of it"? Is it possible that those who were instructed to warn future generations may have actually figured in New Technology so that the world would be more informed. News media may actually factor into G-ds plan of warning the world of a pending doom.
