    Cool Hubbles View

    Hi All,

On July 23, the Hubble took a good close-up of the scar left by the impact, don't know how to make it big, so I'm posting a "Thumbnail".

    Me

P.S. The scar is near Jupiters south pole, dani's photo is upside-down. Not her fault, it was posted that way.

Alright, to my knowledge, Jupiter has a high, neverending, rate of wind/pressure pushing the gases around the planet.

The black spot in stationary and its getting larger. I'm at a loss.

    Cool Hit Again??

    Vultyrex,

Your right, something very strange happening on Jupiter.

Now the hole has either doubled in size, or Jupiter got hit again right near where she got hit before.

I'm begining to think that there may be an "Event" occurring on the planet itself.

Definitly need to keep an "Eye" on this.

    The Obedient One

P.S. Here is a "New Shot", taken on the 28th, looks like two points of impact.

Also check http://spacescience.com/ on this 21st of July. They call it a Cosmic Collision.

    What do you think?

These events will happen more frequently, as we approach the "Galactic Plane", and the Oort Cloud collapses back at us.

So Jupiter is doing it's job to ensure life on Earth doesn't get destroyed every twenty years from astroids and comets. Cool!

Thank God we have Jupiter, because life on Earth couldn't evolve without it!

I always thought that thing was a particle cannon...

but hey, if jups taking the blows, then Earth can keep making its shitty reality shows! yay!

I know, I can be sarcastic.

But a bunch of NASA loving sheeple who believe solar systems that have planets capable of sustaining life for evolution are common in our universe have to be told the cold hard facts of such things, and solar systems that have planets like Jupiter in the right position to act as a 'vacuum cleaner' for astroids and comets is only one in 10 solar systems. . .

Not to mention only one in 13 suns are the right size, and only only 6 per cent are the right age, and only 1 per cent of solar systems will be the right position in the galaxy to have the right building blocks for life and many other factors - they're very rare indeed!
