kelly....some places aren't exactly what I'd call common knowledge...I didn't hear about the New Madrid Seismic Zone until I actually went there.

i am finding many things that i thought were common knowledge that people have never heard of....lol....my mom was awesome.

kelly....I've noticed the same thing....but then I do get reminded often how poorly people know their geography, science and history....

my parents were great at filling in the gaps of the public education system...mom kept several sets of encyclopedias in our library at home and we actually had many discussions on various topics growing up.
