    Default artificial photosynthesis breakthrough

i thought that finding ways to copy photosynthesis artificially would be a great thing and very useful.

we are one step closer now.

A leaf is just one of the awesomest manufacturing facilities ever.
Beats every factory we ever built hands down.
Just imagine a world where we can tell a plant to grow anything we want out of any material we choose.
One of these days houses will not be constructed.
They will be planted and grown.
    Whatever works, use it.

A good idea stands on its own value independent of authorship.
If it stands or falls on the credibility of the author, maybe it isn't such a good idea.

the understanding of how nature manages things plus engineering on the nano scale will lead to awesome achievements in the not too far future. i think you have been onto something there with ´growing´material. for example, if you look into your fridge, everything is wraped up in plastic sheets, cheese, ham, your milk bottles, all wraped up in plastic or other synthetic materials and everything get´s thrown away and recycling is just not too efficient. imagine we could grow those containers for milk cheese etc. from organic material, if we throw that away, it will just decompose like a leaf.

photosynthesis could be the key to make solar-energy cost efficient or replace it completely. atm it is too expensive to really get a positive effect plus the noble-earths that are needed for solar collectors that are currently manufactured. these are very expensive and mainly under china´s control.
