Default List of Habitable Exoplanets in the Universe

With the finding of Gliese 163 c this month that brings the total of possible habitable planets to 6 with around 30 others that need to be confirmed and thousands more that need to be looked into further.

With this and the Mars rover it won't be long until extraterrestrial life is finally found.

And what do you think will happen when extraterrestrial life is finally found.....be it very intelligent and advanced or just microbial life.....
Do you think fat cats in the banking industry will say.....we'll stop now robbing people of their money.....
Or will the government say exactly the same?
Or the lazy bastards that are all around the Earth will start working and doing something instead of just begging for money?
Do you think ALL religious groups will stop fighting, or will this religious group say.....that's our god's planet, he's cometh....
Do you think ALL people around the Earth will join hands and kiss each-other?

I, for one, hope that when ALIEN life is being discovered I will carry on working hard, pay a lot of taxes, eat as less as possible (not because I am on a diet, but because of my wallet....)....
I hope I'll be allowed to worship other idiots from my planet, and other idiots that may exist or not in a realm somewhere....

I don't know if we shall live long enough to live on some other planet, but this totally sounds cool that someday our younger generations shall be living on some other planets.

Yes, it is. Surely someday it will happen.

It really depends on if we develop a real means of propulsion to move us through the universe at much faster speeds. If we can get that down than there's no telling how much we may find out there.

We will likely see a lot of potential inhabited planets.
Quite a while yet before we will be able to detect life or technology.
We likely will refine our instruments to that point eventually.
Might require an advanced probe to get beyond the heliosphere with very sensative instruments though.

Might be twenty to thirty years, which really is not that long.
We have been considering the question for a lot longer.
    Whatever works, use it.

A good idea stands on its own value independent of authorship.
If it stands or falls on the credibility of the author, maybe it isn't such a good idea.
