I know. If this turns out to be true i am going to be pissed, i guess it is only a year till we find out.

I know where i am going to be at if it happens atleast, there is many bunkers from ww2 where i live, lots of safe places.

cricket......it will happen at some point in the future.....but the damage created depends on many things....such as size, location, trajectory and type of object.....but if we are hit by a planet or a space body bigger than 10% of earth.....even the elite are toast.....because there will be a big hole where the earth used to be.

Well, I'm getting a little tired of the 2012 doomsday stuff. Honestly, even if there were a meteor heading right for Earth, I've heard we wouldn't know a near miss from a hit until less than an hour before impact. If it's nuclear war: what are they doing? Making plans? That's comforting.

Not a meteor. It is "planet X" also known as Nibiru, witch is not a planet, but a brown dwarf star. I am actually going to take this serious, it should be visible by the naked eye in 2009 if it enters our solar system.

And it will not hit earth, but its gravitasional pull will have dissastorous effects, and it will effect our sun aswell and there will be massive solar flares.

I'm sorry, Wodan. I should have shown enough respect to keep reading the whole thing. Quite honestly, I stopped reading after 2012. A lot of people have fixated on 2012 as the 'end of the world' or 'Armegeddon' or the date of a colossal catastrophe, mostly because the Mayan calendar and certain other Native American descended from the Mayan calendar all end in about 2012.

I have tried repeatedly to say that when this calendar was made, 2012 was still a looooooooong way off, and that they probably didn't see a need to continue past that time. They probably thought they'd be around to fix it before 2012 got so close. Unfortunately, the Maya are long gone.

The result is that we have a calendar that ultimately wasn't finished, and many people have latched onto 2012 as the End of the World.

The fact that this person pulls precisely 2012 out as 'the date', instead of ANY other year, such as 2011 or 2013, tells me that this is just another 'doomsday' prediction based on assumptions that are probably flawed.

If this had been a 'doomsday' for 2011 or 2013: I probably would have read it more carefully rather than just dismissing it out of hand.

No need to apologize, i would have discarded it aswell if not for all the other information regarding the subject.

As for the 2012 Mayan calender, i thought it was just set to end at 2012 because, well... some end it has to have right? But knowing how most ancient cultures was very aware of the celestial, i am starting to get second thoughts about it.

There are several references to Nibiru:

At the same time as the Hebrews wrote the old testament, the Egyptians wrote something they called the great book. The great book was originally written in ancient horadric, but was translated to Finisian and English later.
It proved historical accounts of Nibiru.
One account concerns noahs flood, and another their versions of the ten plagues of exodus. What is important to understand is that Exodus and The great book deals with the same case, only one is from the victor, while the other from the looser.
While the two books differ in some places, there are things that is the same in both. None of the books mention the actual name of the pharaoh of that time.
But what they both "agree" on is what actually caused the plagues.
According to the ancient Egyptians, what caused the ten plagues of exodus was a massive object. They also say the object caused Noah's flood and the destruction of atlantis, and like the Hebrew prophet Jeremiah, they called it the destroyer, and have warned us of its return.

In fact, the ancient Egyptians goes to great lengths to warn us that Jeremiahs destroyer will return with catastrophic consequences for all the earth and those that live upon it.

Ps. It will not be the end, this happens every 3600 years, so humanity has lived throught it many times before.
And the date 2012 is not set in stone, even tho doomsayers naturally use that date to cause more panic, before this started to get "hushed" down, it was said that they believed it would come between 2003-2013
