Thread: Extrasolar planets kept secret by NASA

Nasa only gives us what they're TOLD to give us..Everything else is "black op's"...Just like "Seti",They wont divulge anything interesting as if they do,Their funding would be crushed in a heartbeat! This is all imho!,But think of it from a common sense stand point..ALLLLL These years in space and all either can do is talk about possibilities? Come on sheeple LOL

I believe SETI has been privately funded by non-profit groups since over a decade and no longer beholden to the government. Therefore, could be a bit more candid about their findings. They are just poorly run in my opinion.

Keeping it a secret or sitting on it for now to do more research and eventually provide a well founded and documented presentation is not the same.
If they would have found something and already know what it is and still won't tell us, you would be right.

But, I would not be suprised at all if they have information they do not share with the rest of us. They have always been very reluctant to share information on 'bogies at 10 o'clock high' too.

Finding the truth isn't about never being wrong or never making mistakes.
It is about making corrections when error is discovered.

Any entity that hasn't made an error, isn't doing anything.

bart....well said.....claiming NASA is covering up or holding back is simply baseless...or being paraniod.....

The search being made by the NASA team is a very poorly kept secret.

fox.....they don't appear to be hiding any planets as of yet.

Wow.. come one, I know this is the conspiracy theory part of the forum, but in terms of extrasolar planets I think it has all been extremely transparent, or an I "too naive" to realise it?

unless they found a planet that was holding up a huge banner saying 'Hello Eartlings' I cant see any reason to denie their discovery.

Rather I think they would jump at the chance to disclose such discoveries as it is just another justification and motivation for continued funding. If they dont find anything eventually the funding will be cut altogether so why would they hide it?
