Default Area 51 draws to much attention....

I think that area 51 is to mainstream and everyone thinks that there's alien body's and UFOs there and is probably one of the most well known places in the world to do with aliens.Even people who do not believe in aliens/UFOs would know of area 51 and what it apparently contains. The government would definitely know about it's bases notoriety and so the government has most likely got another hidden base somewhere due to that obviously area 51 is a dud and distracting us from the truth that it's got nothing in it and they've moved everything important to another base... But I'm just wondering where would this new hidden base be ?

Area 51 is a training ground for experimental aircraft as well as black projects. It is very much active and no "dud".

What is the point of moving operations elsewhere when the closest vantage point looking into Groom Lake is 26 miles away, after making the difficult climb up Tikaboo Peak?

Yes every one knows about area 51 but that docent matter because you cant get in or close to it unless they want you to
There only one place you can even see it from but it's almost 30 miles away so I guess they could have anything out there and we will never know about it

Oh I think they have many many bases all over the country where this UFO stuff is kept, but area 51 is most popular and im sure everyone there knows this too. I can understand the need for security for experimental aircraft, but deadly force authorized? NAH, I dont buy that just for experi. aircraft, they would not risk killing a US citizen on US ground over some aircraft, even if it was top secret Furthermore, how top secret and experimental can it be anyway, all the tech Ive seen upcoming in military hardware is pretty run of the mill, even the new fighter plane is not using some exotic engine or extreme capabilities, its basically just another fighter plane, they dont have anything that can run totally silent and hover like a chopper yet be able to operate in outer space too. But maybe it will take the killing of an innocent person just trying to see if there is a UFO out there and one of their security guards guns them down, this would result in congressional hearings and then an extreme investigation into the whole base, all of which would become public as well, so maybe this would be good for the UFO community? I do think they need to have a serious investigation there and other bases where UFO activity is suspected due to the unlimited taxpayer funds they use and continue to get every year when everyone else has to cut back, the people who pay for this have the right to know if money is being spent on UFO technology or not, and we are not interested in the normal experimental type craft either, that can all remain top secret, its the UFO related info we all are seeking, but they have been lying about UFOs for soooo long now, if an investigation did turn up something, nobody would ever trust another thing the govt told them, I think this is the main reason why the secret continues, its the people in the past that have done the most harm by telling the lies.

Deadly force is no longer authorized (or at least I presume so) at Groom Lake. A few years back they changed the signs (well when I say changed the signs they stuck sticker signs over the top of them) covering up the "use of deadly force" warning. The "deadly force" warning was probably more to instil fear into the public than anything else...

Normally if you go over the border, the sheriff comes down, arrests you, fines you and gives you a banning notice, banning you from American military instillations. Or at least that is what I saw on Dreamland Resort. Also Have you ever seen the video of those two granny's that drove over the border of Area 51? I have always wondered what happened to them...

You can get closer. It is 7 miles away (if I remember correctly) with a direct view over the lake bed into the base, but unfortunately this is private land owned by the Sheahan family and have mining rights to the area. It is called "Groom Lake Mine" if you want to look it up.

If the comment I read was really from Martha Sheahan they are still mining it but not having much luck.

This mine is not now nor has it ever been abondened. It is owned and kept up by the Sheahan family. Unfortunately we were unable to actually mine our property for over 50 yrs. We are now blasting and hope to be in the big ore body soon. Our cabins and water supply are in great shape. S0.... I think our mine doesn't belong in this categuory although it certainley should be in some historical place. Martha Sheahan

Yeah, I don't think Area 51 is a 'dead' base.

If anything, these people probably like to keep up the 'conspiracy' angle.
Keeps people guessing about what really goes on there.

Chances are, we will never fully realize what goes on there. But I have a funny feeling it's not aliens.

I think if there ever was anything dealing with aliens at Area51 it no longer was so once the public started associating aliens with that location...

"If" being the emphasized word here lol...

nivek....personally I wouldn't even use the word "if". I think its just a test facility for highly classified aircraft projects. But I do agree it has gotten alot of press over the last 20 years or so because of all the UFO fanatics that think there are ETs at the base. I get a chuckle out of the UFO shows that go there and climb Tikaboo Peak just to get a look at distant lights in the sky from public land 26 or so miles away. To this day none of them seem to know why the guards are already on the hill when they get to the security line....lol.
