I do like the color contrast very well.
It compliments things nicely.

What about the birthday notice you said you would reinstate? They use to appear at the bottom of the main page. It was nice and convient reminder.

The calender for the 'Birthdays Today' seems to be off.
It is recognizing the birthdays correctly but the calender is reading Feb 24...?
