The Ariane 5 ECA successfully launched yesterday. This was a very important flight for european space indistry which tries to gain back the trust in the very successful Ariane (Ariane 4) program.

Thank you Ariane... I am happy they have ironed out the flaws and have a successful launch, maybe now we can get some very needed heavy hardware up into space (4.5 - 5 tonnes at a time), the satellite and space probe markets should get more interesting over the next 5 to 10 years now that larger payloads can be taken into orbit in one go.
