I was up until 4:30 last night watching a movie.

The movie was The Deer Hunter .
I've seen bits and pieces of it here and there,
but have never really sat through the entire movie before.

With all of the hundreds of movies I have seen over time,
this is really unlike me to have never devoted the time to
this classic.

It had a meaningful effect on me emotionally.
When I was much younger; I think that all I would have
appreciated from the movie was the Nam war scenes
and the action and violence. Probably wouldn't have cared
for the true essence of the movie itself.

Being older now, and with a heart that is emotionally driven and
always on the search for love, compassion, and peace;
I find myself affected more and more each day by the horrors in life.
Whether this is depicted on the national news... or from a screenplay.
I find myself both saddened, and more appreciative at the same time.

Maybe it was just the right time in my life to finally watch it.
I don't know... but what I do know is that it had an effect on me
and helped me to remember to keep the more important things in life in
better perspective.

People should be more appreciative of what they have, and realize that
there are many in this world that do not have what you and I
probably take for granted each and every day.

For those of you that have been fortunate to have found the
elusive "love of your life," don't settle for just that. Tell them so
every day, and more importantly... make them feel that they are so.
This love still eludes me... but I must, and I do... hope to find it myself.

If you have a friend... Be ....a friend. Through everything.
This is something personally that I've had issues with myself.
It's really something how clearly we can see the "bridges" we've
burned over the years when we look over our shoulder with perfect
crystal clear vision... of 20/20 hindsight.

Don't want to ramble on too much. I wanted to talk about how I felt.
If this somehow in any way makes a person stop for even a second in
their busy day, and have a greater appreciation of something, or how
being nice or saying the right word to someone at the right moment
could really make a big difference in that persons day, and even your own...
it would be entirely worth the time I have taken to express my feelings.

I thought that I should say something... or had to.

i agree with every thing you said.and i also feel the same, show how you feel, say how you feel and never , never let it be a doubt to some one you love.

Thank you cricket.
My heart has been really down lately for many of
the reasons that are a part of life.

Haven't given up, though. No. Not yet.

Those were lovely words Q.

Yes, everyone should live that way, what a wonderful world it would be. I agree it is very important to make sure the poeple you love know this, and that you are very good to your friends.

By all means pop it in... and may it sit with your mind.

Truer words, I have not heard. Though many times it is hard to express yourself, we should all give it a shot. What do you have to lose.
