according to string theory, scientists have found one thing that can pass through the dimensions, which is gravity! perhaps the dimensions are getting closer to each other, and as the only thing that scientists have found that passes through the dimensions is gravity, perhaps the gravity from the other dimension is creating the earth quakes that have been occuring!?
Just a theory |

what earth quakes? for your theory to be correct it would have to be shown that earth quakes are increasing, which of course it hasn't.

well actually they are increasing and ironically enough there were some just in the Mississippi area as well as arkansas jsut yesterday...which is somewhat unusual....

it just so happens that our ability to detect them is increasing too.... but hay what do I know, they probably weren't there before we could detect them?
anyway dimensions can't get closer to each other, they are already close, it like saying the hydrogen atoms are getting closer to the oxygen atoms in water... |

They did not increase if seen over a larger timeinterval. If you only watch a few years and a region on earth of course you will find everything... decrease, increase whatever you like...
http://neic.usgs.gov/neis/eqlists/7up.html Also as far as I could see on a first glance they did not even increase in the US over the last hundred years... so what?

It doesnt matter whether earthquakes are increasing. If gravity does leak into our dimension from another one, then it probably has been doing so for about 15 billion years. The fact that we humans invented string theory at this moment in time, does not mean that the practical consequences of string theory havent been around for as long as the universe existed. |

good point. But for gravity to "leak" into another demension would be hard to explain. The closest thing to that possiably happenting would be a supermassive black hole, like the ones at the center of virtually every galixy. The Gravity in a black hole would be so intense that time, space, life is pushed to what is called a singularity. The singularity is the point at which the electrons in matter get pushed into the nucli causing the nucli to go beserk. Scientists can tell that the dark matter is there, but they cannot see it. Bruce H. Margon, chairman of the astronomy department at the University of Washington, told the New York Times, "It's a fairly embarrassing situation to admit that we can't find 90 percent of the universe" _source http://www.eclipse.net/~cmmiller/DM/

Actaully, the tsunami was not started by an earthquake. It was actually a 1 inch shift in the bedrock beneath the water (hundreds or possibly thousands of feet under) which caused all the water around it to shift. Since it was so deep under, that one inch was multiplied and caused the giant waves to occur. Earthquakes are also caused by earths tectonic plates shifting and grinding, not by other dimensions hitting us. |
