hi all been watching this site for the last couple of months or so , and finally been brave enough to post . dont really know where to start !! supose the beginings as good a place as ever ! . i have wondered about ufo`s and things since my old man was alive , died 1993 he was always reading about stuff that i couldnt get my head around , but was always interested in .however till i started reading the old ufo magazine uk version that a pal of mine got me into i didnt realise how much interest there was in our subject . well as a fisherman ive spent thousands of nights there underneath the stars and only twice have i seen things that made me think WOW !!!! the first time as my friend and i were sitting at the rods we were in cornwall uk near looe it was 3 am in the morning on a lake we had fished for years and there were these three vertical l lights in the sky to our right north / north easterly , trouble was they werent moving , i told my fishing partner and he had no idea what they are and after sitting there watching them for an hour or so and after looking through the bins i was totally intreaged as to what might sit there with no sound for a full hour ? helicopters , planes all crossed our minds !! but why know sound !! cant grasp that . eventually i dosed off to sleep thinking of god knows what but fairly worried , in only a light sleep cause of what id seen (earlier) i awoke an hour later , and thinking about stuff i couldnt get my head around immediately looked to my right to see if the lights were still there , and to my relief they had gone PHEW thank god for that i thought , still suspicious and not really happy cause i couldnt understand what id seen i glanced over to the left looking at the sky through binoculars and there they were the three of them just the same as earlier sat in the sky totallly still 3 vertical lights no sound just sat there !! this crazy stuff ended when after watching for ages i thought the best thing to do was go to bed and hopefully they would be gone in the morning . when i awoke early morning there were no signs of what i \ we had seen last night and after a bit of a natter we both agreed to say nothing to the other anglers fishing the lake . better to keep quiet in case the rest of the anglers thought we were weird !!!! however when we went to the pub the following dinner time we were having lunch but quietly going about our our own business , when we couldnt help but hear the rest of the pub ALL SAW WHAT WE HAD SEEN !!! after a long disscusion we agreed not to mention this again , put it behind us and not talk about it again !!!! now at this point i have to say , yes i do enjoy a beer or three , no i wasnt pissed !!! and i dont take drugs of any kind !!!! and i am the most sensible guy i know , please believe that i am not some drug crazed loonatic and i really do have to be in control !! at all times , and before anybody starts going on about all the RAF bases that are dotted around cornwall \ devon etc i do know that there is an awfull lot of activity around that part of the world . sorry to have to stop there but the second part of the story is to me anyway totally mind blowing !!!! and will follow shortly regards andy

The American version of UFO magazine is still going but It was sad to see the UK version go, it did just prove how important UFOs really were
There is a lot of UFO activity around that area
I believe your sighting, and the way you heard no sound is very common Its good of you to share your experience

thanks for making me feel so welcome you lot , sorry for having to leave my story half finished , but it was late last night when i finally plucked up courage to post . and i start work very early 5.30 ish . i never seem to have a minute but i will get chance tonight to tell you the next half with a little luck subject to no kids etc etc etc :laugh: :laugh:

hi well onto the 2nd part of my story . we were sat fishing near home at preesall lancs near blackpool home of the world famous illuminations , in the distance over blackpool was a low lying cloud , but you could see the laser lights off south pier bouncing off the clouds , which to a none local can look quite strange (specially if you have had a beer or 6 or 10 which most of the visitors to blackpool usually have ) but as a local lad was a very common sight as the lights are switched on for around 6 weeks throughout september and october . it was a clear night over us one of them autumn ish evenings flat calm and cold with no cloud cover except over blackpool to the south . we were quite happy fishing away when we both became aware of a bright light over to the south , which at first i thought was venus it was in the sort of position that you see venus early evening , but this was much brighter !! we were both watching this `star ` but it looked quite strange in that it seemed to have a pulsating edge to it , i must say it looked weird and i was trying to work out what it was , we were both watching it but without saying a word . i was aware that my mate was watching it too but without saying anything now im the ufo guy although its not something we have ever discussed , he`s a ex uni student with a degree in psycholigy (spelling sorry) anyway we are sat watching this star like thing in the distance which to me seemed strange , and i was trying to work out if it was a normal star or not , like if it was a star but it looked strange cause of the cloud cover over blackpool coupled with the laser lights and the fact it may be bouncing off the cloud . when he gets a fish on , hes playing the fish in and im waiting with the landing net but still keeping an eye on our `star` which seemed to be getting brighter and getting closer and it was still pulsating and i have to say i was more concerned with the star than i was with his fish !! and then as i was watching it , it suddenly went OUT !! totally gone , right back to netting his carp that was getting closer to the landing net , but still thinking about our star friend !! when i looked up to say i was GOBSMACKED IS THE UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE CENTURY !!!!!!!!!! there was this flying triangle going over us only about 700 metres high , a delta shaped craft , low level and totally silent . 7 white lights from the point at the front evenly spread to each side of the wings , that was blocking the stars out as it passed over head (i shiver when i think about it) now at this point hes trying to get me to think about netting the fish (we take our fishing very seriously its a serious hobby when we may only get 3 or 4 fish per year bigguns 20- 30 lb each and i am expected to give it my all when one nears the net ) but i dont care !!! theres this THING !!!! going over head that is totally unbelievable . the conversation went something like this . him in deep concentration playing his fish , i said WHAT THE F&**S THAT ?? him looking up says I GOT KNOW IDEA MATE BUT I HOPE ITS A F****N PLANE !!! well wheres the engine noise !!! (baring in mind we are out in the countryside and its totally silent) says me . we have a triangle flying over head without a sound thats low enough to see its a solid object , blocking out stars as it passes by , the strange thing is i should be afraid VERY AFRAID !! BUT IM NOT !! i feel totally relaxed totally calm , the last thing i expected to feel was RELAXED !! i have waited for this all the time ive read my ufo mags of all the great things that have been written in there the shivers that have run down my spine when ive been reading them and im, RELAXED !! WHY !! as it passed over head im totally calm . im totally in awe of this thing that defies explanation its huge , its silent and if we have the technoligy to produce what ive just seen then we are so far ahead of our time , its frightening !!! now we have a british aerospace base very close by where my best mate works (we have been best friends since we were 12 throughout school we are now 40 ) and having told him about what happened he had know idea what it could have been , he could recognise 99% of aircraft in the sky , it was totally unexplainable to me anyhow , im not having `stealth ` or anything that is talked about in the news any new prototype , hush hush planes , whatever !! this thing was MINDBLOWING !!!!!!! maybe it was one of ours but if so we are so far ahead of our time , well i dont know , i shiver as i write !! again im not some loony , it took a lot to mention it and before now i have only told four people ever of what went on that night . i wasnt drunk im a taxi driver , neither was my fishing partner hes a cabbie to we cant afford to lose our driving licsense , we didnt imagine it , im not some drug crazed psycho !! im an ordinary over worked , too little time , dad who is about to get boll**&*ed cause its 4.20 am and its my birthday today and my wife is gonna kill me cause ive been up till this time when im supposed to be on a day off today and im gonna be wrecked in the morning when im supposed to get up , take the kids to school etc etc trust me its taken hours to admit to what ive just writen , can somebody please explain what i\we saw cause i cant regards andy

I think one of the more interesting aspects of your story is how you described feeling relaxed. Barney Hill experienced the same effect after he became extremely upset looking through his binoculars at the craft hovering towards him, as told in the book 'The Interrupted Journey'. He became very 'relaxed', almost as if it overcame him. It is not uncommon to have a sensation of familarity or calmness when in the presence of these craft. Have you thought any further on why you might have felt that way? I don't want to lead you, but I think you know the obvious question.

It sounds like an amazing experience friend. There are those, like Dr. David Jacobs, who beleive that people who have had encounters such as you describe, are either at the beginning, or tail end, of something more than what you remember. Only you will be able to tell. You said you were the "UFO guy". Have you had an interest in the topic prior to your experience?

How long ago did this event occur?

hi thanks for the birthday wishes , and i was right i feel totally knackered , great start to the day !! to answer your questions it happened september 2001 , i filled out a ufo magazine( uk version) report form straight after it happened and mulled it over for months wether to report what i had seen , in the end i decided not to it has been with me and a couple of friends ever since .as i said in my previous post my dad was interested in ufo`s and stuff but to my knowledge never saw anything , nothing serious just a passing interest odd book from the library that sort of thing . i had been interested in ufo`s since i saw the vertical lights in cornwall again whilst fishing . about 2000 i got hold of a copy of ufo magazine and started reading it every month (gutted its finished ) these are the only two things that i have seen where i couldnt put a rational explanation to , i said earlier ive fished thousands of night sometimes on my own , others with friends . i used to fish friday to monday every week with another overnighter mid week for about fifteen years (before wife and kids came along ) this paticular lake we were fishing you have to be off the water by 11pm , we got back to the car at 11.10pm there was no missing time that i am certain , whilst this thing passed overhead i felt totally calm totally cool which is pretty much the opposite of how i thought i would have felt under the circumstances , this calmness lasted until i got home , a fifteen minute drive away , when i realised what i had just seen , i was totally s*****g myself , having said that i wanted to go back to see it again , to get photos , to make sure everybody else saw it to , why oh why i didnt take a photo i have know idea i had a camera with me , we always take pictures of the bigger fish we catch . the thought never entered my head , i was just stood transfixed to the spot looking on in awe at this thing that was passing over head totally silent and very low approx four times the height of blackpool tower 519 feet . this was not some dodgy light in the sky this was as i explained earlier as clear as it could be and at very close quarters . its also interesting to readers of the uk version of ufo mag that the lake in question lies approx a mile over the river from fleetwood where ufo mag did several articles and there were several videos taken of lights in the sky which were witnessed by dozens of people over the larkholme area of the town . although my experience happened a couple of years prior to the fleetwood thing. have to go now catch you later regards andy

having read roswells experience . cant help wondering what the hell is going on out there , i mean i dont think anything other than what ive previously posted happened to me , totally sure (think ?????) but how can we be totally 100 % certain , when we cant really know what is out there anyway !! i mean from my experience i dont know for sure , wether it was one of ours (seriously doubt it !!) or where the hell it came from !!! cause does anybody really know , i mean were guessing arent we !! hope that makes sense !! cause what i saw was as clear as it could possibly be no dodgy lights no dodgy photos (admit there were no photos , guess you are gonna have to trust me ) and if im being honest there can only be one explanation !
