*argh* i just spent an hour typing out my thoughts for this thread go to post it and it says im not signed in...so what happens? i lose everything i just typed. typical. :cry:
i cant remember everything i said word for word as it was just a conscious stream of thought, so sorry if this thread seems a little disconnected. man created religion, therefore how can it be trusted? i have allways had an intrest with the occult and paranormal ever since i can remember, but it has never been anything besides a search for information. i do not feel it right to 'cast a spell' without first having a thorough understanding. now back to my first statement... every religion claims to be older than the last, claims to have the path to 'enlightenment, claims to be the 'right one'. the fact of the matter is, we are human. what seperates us from the rest is our abilitly to ask 'why, why ,why?' every person at one point of their lifetime is going to ask metaphysical questions and that's a fact. but what we seem to be forgetting is that when it comes down to it, all we have are a bunch of assumptions, nothing more. we will never know for certain. another issue that arises is what is being taught today in terms of religion...i have serious doubt that is anything like it was when it first orginiated. keeping in mind that much can be lost in translation and mis-interpretation. how can we even be 100% sure when it originated and why? we cant. religion brings hope, faith and comfort for many. but why do we need these things? the answer is simple- we do not want to be alone. we live in a world, where we are shaped by our society. from a early age we are tought to think with logic & reasoning. but it is this society that will be our demise. the reason we feel so often alone is because of the way we live our lives. concerned with materalism and petty things, we forget about what is really important. we need to stop seeking for answers and take alook at ourselves. i am a stronge believer that to love, you must first love yourself. now, how many people here can truely say they love themselves? i know, i cannot. for a long time i have blamed other people for my un-happiness. experiencing so much at a young age shaped me to the person i am today- and it is not one i am happy with, i have become vindictive and selfish, pushing away anyone who comes close to me. i have only come to realise this after questioning myself "who am i?"....that is still something i cannot answer. we are not as alone as we think we are, i feel it whenever i sit on the beach and let the surroundings consume me, i feel i lay on the grass & the wind blows. i am not sure as to how to futher about my explaination on the feeling, but it is not something 'new' to me..i feel as though it is familiar. there are alot of things that make sense to me now, and it is time to change. meditation is an option that keeps occuring, but it is not one that i have acted upon yet. i geuss i am scared for what doors it may open if i do not know how to control them or protect myself, despite reading many ways of how to do this- it is hard to know what to believe and who to turn to. |

Blaming someone or something else for our own unhappiness is a cop out, we must seek within what we are missin....honestly, its easy to assess oneself, if you can be less critical of oneself..... but then again,. we are our own worst enemies...LOL meditation ...............it will no doubt help you to explore your innerself. here is why ppl fear meditation, GOD forbid we see somehting "new" "scary" and it isnt about anything else...........ie et's or ghosts,..............we simply fear ourselves. no need to. once you become familiar with who you truely are and the gifts you possess, then and only then can your healing process begin and you can fine tune yourself. reconnect with your spirit.............you are ready. protection is important....tho many beleive that is b/s...........its not. to be protected and know you are makes this journey much easier. good luck and if you need tips on white light protection, please feel free to ask. hugs goddess |

thank you for your reply.
i completly understand blaming someone else for my own problems is a cop out, it hadnt occured to me before what the 'real' problem was until recently. yes, protection amongst a few other things has stopped me from practising it sooner. i have read into the subject but they do not mention protection or altered states.. i still dont understand completly. any insight would be greatly appriciated. |

i still dont understand completly.
any insight would be greatly appriciated. All right, here it is: I actually use this little technique, and say these words 3 times.... dunno why, but it helps me...LOL "dear mother father god goddess creator of all that is please protect me with your white light, your loving energy and allow only that of my highest good........if it is not of my highest good then I ask you not to allow me to experience it. blessings in light unity and love thank you" then I go into this routine and it really does make me feel safe and protectd. FIRST -- You need to find a time and a place in which you will be undisturbed. If that means taking the phone off the hook, then do that. If you are at work, then go into the bathroom for a couple of minutes and do this very quick and easy meditation. This will only take a 2 or 3 short minutes. Then sit down and make yourself comfortable. Put your feet flat on the floor and let your hands rest on your lap, with the palms facing up. (Or you can sit on the floor in the Lotus position, if you prefer) SECOND -- Place your thumb and index finger, or your thumb and middle finger, together. This is the east Indian position called "mudra" and has been shown in laboratory testing to actually make a connection in the brain that induces a relaxed feeling and light level of meditative trance. THIRD -- Take 3 SLOW deep breaths, making each breath out longer than the breath in before it. ... Then ... imagine White Light coming down from above and entering your body through the top of your head. ... See and feel this White Light filling every part of your body and mind. ... Make it real with the power of your mind. ... See any dark places and spaces that might be within you fill with that White Light. .... See it .... feel it .... sense it..... This might take a few minutes the first few times you try it. As you keep doing it more and more it will take less and less time, until it takes just a few seconds to do .... When you see or sense your body AND your mind totally and completely filled with the White Light, then see a little bit of it coming out of your body through your solar plexus, just above your belly button ... and then see it surrounding your body like you are surrounded in a protective eggshell of positive White Light. ... This White Light is God-energy and it will cleanse and protect you.... KNOW that you are totally protected.... KNOW that you are totally protected.... OPTIONAL *** When you see yourself with the White Light filling you completely and surrounding you completely, you might want to extend that White Light out from you and fill your home or living space with it. To do that, see or sense that White Light again coming from you at your solar plexus, and extending out from you in the form of a cord or rope. See and/or sense that White Light filling and surrounding your home, or filling and surrounding your loved ones. Know that you and they are protected. I know of no other protection technique you can do that will change your life to the positive and protect you against any and all negative energies, seen and unseen, more than this one. There is no single spiritual practice I've ever learned of during my 35 years of metaphysical, spiritual and psychic education that can have this same effect. Now go and practice this White Light Protection Meditation technique. Make it a part of your daily routine for 30 days. You will feel uplifted and renewed. Some of my clients have even reported that after a few weeks of daily practice, they have contacted their guides or deceased loved ones during their practice of this meditation. And don't worry if you have trouble visualizing the Light. Some people just aren't visually oriented. It's all right as long as you can sense it in some way, whether it's something that you seem to hear, or simply a "feeling" or just a sense of "knowingness." Your mind, your Inner Being, and your spirit guides know what you are doing. Try if for a MINIMUM of 30 days. It can only do good for you. I hope that helps hugs goddess |
