Someone sent me this article about a Houston couple that claims to have been victims of alien abduction twenty times, including the kidnapping of the woman's fetus. Thankfully, the article included a skeptical/rational point of view from a Harvard psychiatrist. There isn't much in the article, but perhaps someone will get something out of it.

It`s good to have a skeptical view but this clancy I don`t feel is the right person to come to a conclusion she absolutely thinks abductions are not real.

You need people who are more on the fence about things like that and do it by a case by case.I`m not saying that abductions are a real event caused by extraterestrials but I don`t really know either way real or not so I try to just listen to the accounts.

Generally, I praise any sort of article, television show, or documentary on paranormal/extraterrestrial topics that includes a skeptical point of view. Many of them purposely do not, much to the frustration of skeptics and other rational people.

As I've repeated before in other threads, anything and everything is possible. The factor is asking why you believe in something, and if it's based on evidence or faith. Alien abductions have yet to leave even an entrail of evidence that suggests it's a literal phenomena, so I disbelieve in it altogether. That's my personal view shared by most scientists and rational people. It's always worth it to be skeptical unless you have a reason to believe something.

What about accumulated 'circumstantial' evidence?
