I hadnt. That is really heart warming. It shows that difficult challenges in life can be overcome. My uncle dyed from being what most people call spastics/retarded. I dont like either word. I find it offensive wether its the right word to use or not. I never got to spend much time with him.

I'm very sorry to hear that gal. I hate when people label people like your uncle "retarded" its medically and logically wrong and offensive. Plus I'm sure he was a great guy.

Edit - After looking it up, it is the correct term, but it's now more commonly used to offend someone and has a negative connotation even though it shouldn't.

I know. The word itself appears harsh, they should just call them unforntunate or something. My mum doesnt allow either word to be said in the house (being my uncle it was her brother). But that never stopped my dad. Hes the biggest arsehole in my life. He use to spit on his pictures and everything. Had to take them down before he broke them all.

Hmm, I'm sorry to hear about that as well, why does your dad spit on his pictures? That's upsetting.
