This forum is very social and their seem to be nice bonds being made with certain people here but have you asked yourself "why am I here" ?,Is it the company/ambiance (hard on a forum)/hard science/religion or have you a mind open enough to the real possibilities of contact(again no offence intended).

Im here because I had ufo experience 16 plus years ago and it changed my views, certainly on my perception of what my world was. I have joined to seek fellow believers and to converse with them..and have a laugh on the way (not at anybodies expence I might add)

I understand that many of you are not believers and thats great........ SO I wonder, what brings you here to a site like this if you dont belief and in some cases ..................have no intention of believing.....

WHY ARE YOU HERE ?

Well you asked,

Curiosity, put simply.

I do 100% beleive in UFOs.

I do not beleive in aliens of a higher intelligence at present, that's not to say I never will.

I believe the UFO inhabitants are not ET's but that doesn't mean that they're human either.

If not human then are they ghosts then ? If not of this earth, would that not make them ET ? or do you believe that we are being visited by ourselves from the future. Elaborate if you can.........

****Why am I here?
I am here because I beleive GOD made the aleins like he made us humans...and I beleive in the Bible's explanations for their presence on the earth.

No fence.

I beleive I am talking with humans that are amazed and in awe over the things that are happenng on the earth. I passionately feel for others in their experiences and hope to help others feel some sense of protection in a belief system that they can formulate along with the information I have. I hope to help others formulate a connections with all the available info.

I do not seek to devour someone with my beleifs nor have them devour me with theirs. I am communicating with real life human people like myself and these people have the freewill to choose to communicate back to me... or not.

In the interchange, I learn how to give answers and how not to. Plus, some may actually thank me for hearing them out and find relief from the oppressive anxiety that strange mysteries can leave in our awareness.

****Where do I stand in the ideas of ufo and aliens?
On the firm foundation that GOD created everything living. Plus,I know that humans can make things look like aliens and that some sitings could be fake and some could be government cover ups while they make technology for space travel. I am also aware that some people take drugs and may see things out of delusions and or a mental illness. I hope to be friends with some people and help them exerience my hope and faith. I hope to be able to tell those who are sincerely afraid of a demon alien to lean upon GOD for an understanding in it and to help them find solice (comfort) that they can be safe even though.

I think that it is very possible that alien civilizations are visiting Earth. That's all. I don't like to believe in anything.

I've been a long time lurker here and some time last year decided to post coz I finally decided the people here were crazy enough for me to relate to... Though I must say, looks like there's some sort of a diddle going on here as of late coz this place seems to have turned more into a Christianity doohickie than an alien one... What a poop bum, but then I get over it and think to meself... Arh welll... that's the way the cookie crumbles... If they wanna be clapping for Jesus, then let them clap away....

But basically, as far as this alien and UFO thing goes... I'm happy enough being an alien mugwump, sitting on a fence, watching both sides and not committing coz I really don't know... Though, I do tend to lean more towards the wump sometimes.. but not too hard coz I don't wanna fall off the fence and hurt meself... Might get caught on the fence paling and rip a hole in me head and that would be a bit of a bugger coz I can't afford a new one right now...

Im here because.. I need a good place to take a break from reading and writing.. and its a good place to take a break but still think.

When I first came, I didnt believe in aliens. Last month because of the mars stuff I had to look a bit more into biogenesis than I had since university..and came out more convinced that there are no aliens. But I keep coming here because despite all my reasoning, despite all my beliefs, despite the freaking amino acid problem...I sort of want to come here one day and see indisputable proof that Im dead wrong. How cool would that be? Oh well.

Lona is the only member whose turning this forum into some sort of clap for jesus place. Trainedforthis is clapping for Satan. Read her posts, and then see how many times the word God comes up on average in her posts, i think it's more than 95%

Every post she makes, will always always be off-topic, and say something to do with her and her belief. I sometimes think her only agenda here is to preach her Jehova whipserings(pounding) here. I honestly find her very irritating now. It's one thing to be a jehova fanatic, and another to just spout nonsense non stop and say so many stupid things one after the other shamlessly.

We are talking about aliens, and somehow out of nowhere, she brings up intelligent design. I am giving a member a mathmatical analogy on why God is illogical and thus cannot be disproven wrong, and she just quotes some mathmatical calculation(biggrin.gif) we are discussing if water conducts electricity, and she quotes a madscientist web site on metals conduct electricity. Someone is talking about how aliens maybe here to mine the Earth resources, and she starts talking how the government wants resources.

I ask her for proof of God, and she starts talking about how proof cannot be produced.

Then we have all the ridiculous stuff about Jesus and God and false christians and demons in every other post.

And it to top it all, she thinks I was/am a robot deployed by Xander, and other user accounts are robots too, even Ben!

I mean it should be illegal to be this stupid!

Yup one of those rare occasions where I disagree again Raj! Lona is entitled to her opinion regardless of how off the wall/ungrounded/ill founded/illogical it may be. You have the freedom to respond. She believes aliens are manifestations of her God and can only relate to them in that context! I can live with that.

It's like the TV Raj...if you don't like what you're watching switch over or better still....switch off.

Oh, I am not saying she can't say these stupid things, or should leave, and its not just aliens are manifestations of her God, its the random preaching everywhere. As you "said" I have the freeom to respond. So I am.

However, her religious fundamentalism is not just putting me off, it putts other people off. It corrupts the atmosphere of this forum. So perhaps Lona should be thoughtful and not preach like this.

Sure, start one topic to discuss Gods, sure talk about God if it's related in another topic, but don't just randomly start talking about it in every topic. And if I am not mistaken, you also agree with me wink.gif Unless you changed colours again.

We want to stay in reality. We question all the things we read including our own literature...in fact questions are also included in the literature to try to keep alert to all thoughts and the other possiblities. Debate is our study.

I am here to help myself understand the thought patterns of those who believe. So, as I said before I am sorry I confused anyone...My faith has been labeled a religion..a necessary label it is needed because in some lands it is the only way we can study the Bible and the things discovered in our research with others.

This is because in some lands they think Jehovah's Witnessses are trying to overthrow the government because we teach people about the government that God is to establish on the EARTH...Just as the Jews said Jesus was gong to take over so they wanted him dead...this is the way it is for us ,too.

Our research uses geography, archeoglogy, history, anthropolgy, science of all branches, etc...and gives convincing evidence of the movements toward the time of the end. (The peace on earth that Christ was to give.) If I sound like I am babeling... I become sorry because our message is clear when presented in context.

I am doing this out of context from the way an actual study is held...we are throwing points out and like William Tell said: "...where it lands I do not know where"...this becomes aimless. So I am trying to stay in this forum section to give my post some context.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>without a doubt I am out of context here...I enjoy the fun and the laughter and the ...>>>persecution..is sweet as wine. Thank you.Raj.

Another subject I have studied is "anthroplogy"...

I think I am impelled to study this topic (Why people cannot make a decision about UFOs) out of the curiousity that I have in humans...I think I approached the forum without my JW identity in the hope of gaining atrue visual the forum without the persecution that was likely to arrive...

For a definiton:Core Concepts in Anthroplogy, 2/e

Anthropology is a discipline that exists at the borders of the social sciences, the humanities, and the biological sciences. The term comes from two Greek words: anthropos, meaning "human beings," and logia, "the study of." The "study of human beings" would seem to be a rather broad topic for any one field, but anthropologists take the name of their discipline seriously, and anything that has to do with human beings probably is of potential interest to anthropologists. Indeed, anthropology can be formally defined as the study of human nature, human society, and the human past. This means that some anthropologists study human origins, others try to understand diverse contemporary ways of life, and some excavate the past or try to understand why we speak the ways we do.

Lona....I think Raj is saying "theres a time and a place" and perhaps some threads have no connection with religion/god ect. I accept that many topics here have links to faith and hope but this one is really to do with....why are we here as regards why are we on the forum....what motivated you and I to partisipate (bad spelling).....

Why I am here - by dreamrunes.

There are moments in a person's life where the snow that falls upon the sidewalks covered by blue grey ice chipped by haphazzard early morning shoveling and impatience is nothing more than an extension to the very out flowing of perceived conciousness and its close cousin the unconciousness.

Phil once stated that deep below a lake centred in between a few very ominous mountains there are things that only the imagination can place into context. The tired raven swoops and closely linked to the replicating gene trait one must focus intently upon the surface breaking as a non water fowl critter snaps directly into the stillness.

Covered by the dark rich textures of a blanketing movement of liquid golden from an above noon sun star reminding what form would be up and what takes one deeper to the source where bridges are built not from steel and sweat, but from the simple patters of the firings of the inner workings of our mind. There is no breath left to carry the raven through its physical journey and the rest as you have already surmized is conducted by the energy that seeps out the pores of this wonderous being. Large beak opens and the last of an altered form of sustenance trails past and heads upwards. Down and down the raven lightly gently quietly unfolds carrying its desires to the bottom of the mountain's lake. And we, who stand swallowing the smells of pine needles and the sounds of crickets, have come only as far as hands have moved from our chests.

Yes, we are upon the fence placed up so long ago that I have superimposed a kind of romantic cowboy face working hard rapping the barbed element to keep what is in in and what is out out. I am a dreamer they say. But this fence is where the sitting has been the best place to be. Let me share my pop with you and oh look I have two sandwiches in my pack.

peace - dreamrunes
