Just more circumstantial evidence that there just may be something to the "Cow Fart" theory...
As for me watching myself......too late

Yeah, I know... Cartman had a nightmare about me once...lol... The question begs an answer, though. What was the milk industry thinking when they put this elaborate ad out? |

Lol...Cowbell, you can just decide to buy milk from ethically organic sources that actually do have cows that spend their days in sunny pastures, as opposed to living their lives in small stalls where they're put on preventative antibiotics and antifungals to stave off the various infections they'll inevitably get under those conditions.
Noting, though, that not all organic milkeries are created equal, and some that qualify as organic (like Horizon Dairy) are actually just as cruel to their cows, but in a different way, as the "mainstream" ones.

Lol...I'm confused...
Honest to goodness, I really do think the purpose of these ads is to make people think of conventional milk as coming from cows who actually walk around in fields, which is not the case. Organic milk has severely impacted the conventional milk industry, and they are desperately trying to regain those losses. |

(Cosmic Cowbell) I think it goes rather nicely with this thread...
http://www.alien-ufos.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13151 ~C Well, that's where you and I butt heads. In my hippie world, everything fits under my hippie paradigm..and in yours, everything fits under your construct. Me? I really do believe that the milk industry is pissed at the way organic milkeries have portrayed conventional milk farms as being unethical through photos of conventionally manufactured cows being confined to small stalls and never allowed to graze fields. And the organic milk industry has economically hit conventional milkers quite hard. Over 20% of profits lost due to the mental image of cows in cages as opposed to cows in fields influencing consumers to not buy conventional milk. That 20+% is billions of dollars. I feel quite passionately about this issue, and have a lot of links waiting if you want to call "bullshit" on me. I've watched the milk industry row and retaliate in no uncertain terms for a few years now. It's a little like watching a soap opera. Every time the organic crowd grows and cuts into their profits, they launch some kind of subtle campaign that either looks like humor or a public service message. |

I agree with you, which is why at some point I would like to milk my own cow, make my own butter, etc etc... Humane treatment, back to nature and all of that. I even be more of a "hippy" than you KB. However, I do not intend to spend much time hanging under it's chin. :hippy: ~C |
