What does it do when it's not being burnt by us?. Why is it on this planet and are we doing anything more than making a little more empty space below/above the surface when we take it out?.

Oil cant be the result of dead animals like we believe, since Other moons in our solar system has it,

Maybe Oil is like the blood of the planet, As we take it out, we slowly are killing home

Anyway, only about 30 years left of oil that we know about, we'll have to make Diamond drills that wont melt deep down or goto Jupiter for anymore then

Actually, it just takes carbon to produce oil, and sice life is made of a good portion of carbon, their you go...

Well, look at it this way. If you burn some wood in a fire, what you'll probably end up with, after the fire dies out, is a pile of ash. It is meaningless to ask, 'what is the purpose of that ash?' As it is with oil. You have a product of physical and chemical processes analagous to ash in the example. It exists because it does. In biological systems, however, it is more meaningful to think of some piece of anatomy, or some process in an organism, or a creature in an ecosystem as serving a purpose.
