Consider this thenightfox, we are all just in the big picture, regular joe's and jane's, none of us alone have the power to overturn any governments, nor as a whole could we hope to. Besides, for all the talk of the totalist nature of Western governments nowadays, in truth our system is a paradise compared to the oppressive regimes such as Hitler's Germany, Mao's China or Stalin's Soviet Union. You shouldn't worry about your respective government coming down on you if you are a "Westerner", because if it was that oppressive her, wouldn't we all already be locked up?

Consider this: The government has no interest in a bunch of farties such as us debating the existence of alien life, other than the cases from time to time that present much welcomed confusion to their enemies. The government is far too concerned with REALIZED security risks as opposed to those perpetuity rumoured to be imminent yet never materialize.

Why stop it? The public in general has no proof of alien visits and anyone who says they do is instantly labeled a kook.

Also if they did that it would look very suspicious.

its as simple as this UFOs dont exist who says so the goverments of the world say so,so how can we be a threat if they shut down UFO sites it means they may be aknowledging the excistence of UFOs, so theyr'e quiet happy to let us talk away about this until we uncover any real evidence, then it will be discredited as a weather balloon,hoax,trick photography etc, etc.

No doubt we are being monitored, perhaps someone in here who is an avid contributer to the thread is actually monitoring us on behalf of the gov't (What a cool job that would be hey?). But where we pose no actual threat there would be no point to shutting us down. Plus we'd probably just pop up somewhere else anyways :surrender

Although many of us may know, "Too much" many of us are also powerless. Some in age, as I am, some in build. There's no way for us to find people to believe in us that're stronger and could do anything for us, as at a first glance at this forum, I thought you all were insane. Don't get me wrong, I believe in most of what everyone believes on here, but when I first cam here I was scared. Perhaps I was just intimidated by the knowledge I was gaining so quickly. Either way, if the government were going to shut down everything that knew secretive things about the government, or about the aliens, than the discovery channel (I think it's that channel that has Conspiracy Files on it) wouldn't be allowed to show some of it's programs, would it?

The government would probobly just deny everything if we came together in the open and did something about what we knew. Or..something..Okay, I'm beginning to ramble, so I'm shutting up.

well probably there is really nothin they can do, mean really there must be hundreds , thousands of sights like this one and the goverment can't shut them all down,they can't keep every one quiet. besides why do the have to has any ligitament proof ever be posted on this website about aliens,i mean some things might be lagit but wont make a beliver out of a sceptic, unless we can get some mind boggleing evidence then where not going to worry any time soon

i agree to all of the above. to them as long as we are up and running, they can keep an eye on us. so they arent worried about us or any other site. most people think we are nutsos any way.

The government shutting us down I would say no.

Short Answer:

The Government is rational, and therefore doesn't care. 95% of this stuff is just born of Paranoia rather then hard fact. Any government official taking anything said on this site seriously would likely be ridiculed, maybe to the poiint of losing their job.

Don't think I'm some random basher. I myself suffer from Paranoid Schitzophrenia, and I have a phobia of Extra-Terrestrials and Ghosts. Despite these, I heartily believe neither exist. The former, perhaps, but not likely in contact with us, or no way of contacting us. Just another alien species on some other planet, maybe in another galaxy, that is as intelligent as we are and most likely far advanced or far more primitive then we are (the liklihood of it being at our exact level is astronomical. They must either be clinging onto flint chunks or developing the first FTL drives.)

What if it's just their way of herding us?
Keep 'em all in one place and just see if they ever get too close to actually being able to do something about it, at all.
So, far they just see us talk, right? But it's a good way to know if and how they should start spinning things if people on the net do get savvy to something.

We can talk ourselves round in circles for all any Govt cares - it's when we have an 'impact' or potential impact that they sit up and take notice - no Govt was every brought to its knees by people talking regardless of how subservisive at times the words might be.
