I'm running save.exe in processes (task manager) and I'm told it's spyware or addware. Is this true?. And if so, will just ending the process harm my computer?.

If there are any other common processes that may be uneeded or damaging, I would appreciate knowing about them.

I recently got a warning that my virtual memory is low and I see that save.exe is taking up 17000+ K. of memory.

Kill it = end process, or use a program like search and destroy?.

I think it came with BearShare if that helps. I dont want to dl anything if I dont have to. Too much crap on my pc already.

Id use search and destroy, because you can kill something, but they leave things behind that can cause more problems that what you had before, its safer to use something that knows what its doing.

I just deleted BearShare so that I could delete WhenU Save (when I tried to delete WhenU it told me to delete BearShare fisrt), and now it's saying I need to get access from my administrator (or something along those lines).

I just checked it and now it's gone. Did it get deleted when I got rid of BearShare?... I'm confused.

Looks like save.exe went out with BearShare and WhenUSave.. If any problems show up in the near future I'll give S&D a shot.

Thanks Faeden and Xeno.
