Sometimes at night when I am falling to sleep, I suddenly feel (for a fraction of a second, sometimes longer) that I am freefalling very very fast. I have done some reading on that and some ppl say its astral projection. Is it that or can it be explained with medecine?

There are certain narcotics that can bring about this type of "OBE"..one that i have heard would be Ketamine, which used to be an anasthetic for humans untill people began to complain of being awake while on it but at the same time dissasociated. Now i believe Vets use it as a tranquilizer for animals.

Assume for a second that astral projection is real and a video is possible. What would you expect to see? Obviously you would not be able to take a camera into the "spiritual" realm.

Maybe you would want to see a video of something moving seemingly on its own. Videos like that can be faked pretty easily so even if astral projection is real you would not be able to get a credible video of it. It might not even be possible to move physical objects without your physical body.

Now I don't want you to think that I'm saying its real, I'm saying that if it is real how people say it is you would not be able to get a credible video of it.

It would be like asking to for a video of a lucid dream smile.gif

I'm not saying a video would prove it, I just want to see one. Perhaps I was also making a point that it's all in someone's head.

This video is a bit pricey if you ask me. This will not only show you an astral projection, but it will also show you how to do it!

IF ASTRAL PROJECTION WERE JUST-- ALL IN ONES HEAD---KIKU--DO YOU THINK THE MILITARY WOULD HAVE GIVEN IT THE ATTENTION THEY DID?
I NOTICED YOU ARE SKEPTICAL ABOUT THINGS. THAT IS OK AS LONG AS YOUR ATTITUDE ABOUT IT IS A LOGICAL ONE. I SEE YOU ARE A FAN OF JAMES RANDI. I KNEW OF HIM WAY BACK IN THE SEVENTIES. I PERSONALY DO NOT LIKE HIM THOUGH. HE IS A LITTLE LESSER OF A SKEPTIC THAN PHILLIP KLASS( ANOTHER SUBJERT MATTER) WAS THOUGH. AND , YOU MAY NOT BE AWARE OF IT, HE HAS OPENLY ADMITTED TO NOT HAVING AN ANSWER TO A FEW THINGS HE'S WITNESSED.

Funny how no one who purchased the video demonstrated their new-found power for any demonstration or observations for a group of physicists or anything.

To make that point, you must demonstrate, beyond doubt, that the 'mind' is 'all in someone's head'. You will, of course, have to define 'mind' first. And please spare me the wikipedia definition. Otherwise, you must concede, by your own standards, that your point is a bit of speculation.

I always have a healthy skepicism about things. But on Astral Projection, this I tell you is real. I have experienced it myself and proved to myself, that it is not a dream state or imagination. It is a real phenomena, but few have learned to do it at will.

Is their any proof that 'astral projection' is outside of the biological processes of the brain? We sure as hell know that the biological processes allow for stuff similar to 'astral projection' to be percieved as physical yet due to biological anomalies. Just look at someone with schizophrenia.

So can anyone put forth validating proof of an 'astral plane'? Because it is impossible to disprove something as lossely defined and relative.

See Pred I'm having the same difficulties understanding how the Astral Plane is outside of the mind. I know that most dreams occure in the mind but there have been certian...sall we say coincidences that have lead me to the personal belief that there is thought outside of the mind.

I once had a dream about being someone that I wasn't talking to someone n an angry tone..and I soon relized after waking up that that someone that I was dreaming about was my digruntled friend staring me in the face talking to me. I'm willing to accept certian connection and deny connections but it all relley boils down to what you want/sub-consceiously accept.

peace,
Austin

Proof comes where a person under projection observes some thing that could not be observed otherwise. Even so, there is no need to presume that the process of 'projection' occurs independantly of the brain-mind complex.

Would you be willing to tell us what happened, i have tried many times but other than a few pretty wierd sensations i have never been able to do it. I would love to hear what happened to you. Did you do anything that you could say for sure that you could not have known otherwise.
Ignore the knockers, you will always get them.
Cheers

Yes.
My first experience came when I was about 31 years ago.
I recall waking up, (or so I thought)with the need to use the restroom . I got out of bed and as I moved to the door I then realized something was not right. I turned around and saw myself still lying in bed. A semi-truck roared by as I also gazed out the window and noticed the heavy fog. I saw the electronic clock above my headboard. It read 4:30am. Levitating up and over my body I felt a jerk and I found myself actually rising in bed. I could hear the semi in the distance. I looked out the window to see the very dense fog that was not there when I went to bed. Also I noticed the clock on my headboard read 4:31am!!
