Watch out for the Dutch? No Seedorf, no Davids..what are they thinking? Maybe Ruud or Arjen catch fire and the Orange finally climb the previously unreachable summit.....?

Maybe if they hadn't stuck us in such a tough group, I'd have higher hopes for my home's team, the USA...

Oh, if I was going to put money on it, give me Brazil. This is my 4th World Cup, and I do have hopes on my boy's advancing, I think the US has the best squad I've ever seen them field.

By the way, I'm a big Claudio Reyna fan!

I thought that was a good match, Costa Rica showed flashes, but the Deutchlanders were too tough...

For the U.S., all hope I believe rests on the quite capable shoulders of one Casey Keller. He showed good foresight by signing with Gladbach a few years back and getting a feel for playing on German pitches. If Keller is on his game and McBride and Renya show up...they can realistically get the 4 points out of the matches with the Czechs and Italy, and therfore advance...assuming that they can handle Ghana (as they should).

My big fear is that the group is so strong, even if they advance, it will take everything they have, and thus be easy pickings for whoever they play in the first game in the Round of 16...

They draw a match against a team that also spent alot to advance. True, the US got a tough break in pool selection...to me, Group E is the GOD. Not impossible, but a test worth passing. If the US does happen to advance, it will be a watershed event for US soccer, make no mistake. The US in the semis?....unlikely, but dont discount the fix.
