Ok guys this is just a thread simply on the last movie you saw and you're comments on it, was it good or bad, did you find it interesting or more irritating, but without any spoilers for those who have not yet seen the movie! Give the movie a rating out of 10 or 5 stars if you prefer.

I watched a film called '25th Hour' this evening with the always excellent Edward Norton as the main character Monty, and I gotta say that after the first half an hour or so where I didnt really see where it was going I was blown away! All of the cast performances are spot on, as you would expect from such a great line-up. Norton in particular manages to draw empathy from what on the face of it is a pretty repellent role, and Brian Cox, who play's Norton's hard-working but drunk of a father, manages to answer the question of why anyone would need a Brit to play a New Yorker. Barry Pepper is one hell of an under-rated actor, he explodes with emotion in this film. His acting skills are proved here, especially the last scene he appears in and Phillip Seymour Hoffman makes an excellent supporting role as the out-of-place friend of Norton and Pepper. Obviously I wont go into detail about the ending, but I will say that it left me speechless and also teary-eyed, like someone had held the biggest and strongest of onions centimetres away from my retina.

9.5 out of 10
