I would think that it would take low pitched sounds with a wavelength of about 5 feet to actaully knock corn down.

yes you are maybe right on that. But, i dont know much about frequencies etc. seems very plausible that this is how they are made. ufos are somtimes attributed by strange sounds like this.

I don't think this has much to do with cropcircles.
This is a known experiment, i've done it myself on a science exibition, but with sand. You put it on a board and send a frequency with sound through that. The sand (or rice) jumps around on the vibrations of the sound, creating this pattern. I doubt the same thing will cause corn to flatten out in circles, even if the whole ground, or field was vibrating, little would happen to the corn. The sound would be so loud, that everybody near the cornfield would have heard it anyway. |

maybe the aliens or whoever is doing the crop circles has a higher understanding of sounds then us.

Either that or the farmers do it with their tractors. |

Outstanding Idea--if All Crops Were Made Of Sand!!!
Lets Be Scientific Here, And Logical. Crops Do Not React To Ultrasound As Sand Would.not Only That, Consider That This Experiment Is Done With Loose Sand On A Solid Medium. I Do Believe The Crop Circles Are Of Intellegent Nonhuman Design. But How Is Still Very Speculative. I Favor A Controlled Magnetic Resonance Beam Of Some Kind. |

True Enough. However If Ultrasound At A High Enough And Powerful Enough Intensity To Effect Crops Were Used. You Would Have Crops Turned To Mush. The Crop Circles If You Remember Are Caused When A Localized Change Takes Place At The Stem Of The Plant. This Causes The Plant To Topple Over. With An Ultrasonic Beam, The Beam Would Indescriminately Effect The Whole Plant. This Has Been Proven To Not Be The Case.
Also If This Still Does Not Convince You. Keep In Mind That The Genuine Circles Have A Slightly Higher Background Radiation Count. Ultrasound Would Not Cause This. |

SOUL-DRIFTER
Why do you capitalize each word? That makes reading unpleasant. |

(SOUL-DRIFTER;259313) Outstanding Idea--if All Crops Were Made Of Sand!!!

I Do Believe The Crop Circles Are Of Intellegent Nonhuman Design. But How Is Still Very Speculative. All this made sence. But then you tacked on that last little bit...(next quote) (SOUL-DRIFTER;259313) I Favor A Controlled Magnetic Resonance Beam Of Some Kind.
Why? (Fen Star;259444) how do u know ultrasound wouldnt efect crops? sound can be very powerful dude and very controlable look how they use ultrasound to desroy kidney stones in patients
![]() No, sound is infact very weak. A whole football stadium of people will have a hard time making loud enough volume of shouting for the kinetic energy to (when converted) make a small light bulb shine. As a means to bend stalks it would be highly inefficiant. And pointless. |

this idea would be possible...but most crop circles that are 'MORE REAL' than others have 1 key charectiristic... they have traces of radiation in them. so much parts of the stems pop. like they've been cooked insideout... i dont think farmers have nuclear lawn tractors...and i seriously doubt a teenager can create radiation with a rope and a plank pressing down the crop... that leaves the government or et's...
