Greetings all,
Being this is my first post here Im curious to know others thoughts in regards to Extraterrestrial's and the Christian Bible. Do you believe that this book is as C.L. Turnage describes an "extraterrestrial transmission?" Are we being introduced to "ancient astronauts" (Anunnaki) in the pages of Genesis? Who really are the "Nefilim" of Genesis 6, falling angels or ancient gods? For those who have graced the pages of the works of Zecharia Sitchin you already know the connection. Since we have been visited in the ancient past by 'those who came down' to jump start the slow process of man's evolution and begin the first civilizations, why should we even consider the remote possibilty that what has been happening by way of the UFO phenomenon is a fluke? If they are our creators through 'genetic manipulation' (as the ancient sumerians have told us) then they have stock here on this earth. This being the case... I'm not overly surprised to have read about so many abductions having taken place. As David M. Jacobs says in his book "Secret Life", speaking of abductions, "... as a result, humans were being employed to produce another form of life - a secret life. And all this was being carried out by an alien form that existed secretly in our environment" Just as we came through 'genetic manipulation' are we not now being used for the same? Many abduction testimonies would indicate 'yes'. I think gaining an understanding of this whole UFO/Alien reality gives one a keener eye in understanding the Christian Bible, especially the O.T. If one allows him or herself to think outside the 'bounds of religion' 'keys' can be found to help open up things that otherwise would remain closed. We live in the 'information age' therefore there is no excuse for anyone to remain ignorant. Even the Bible declares, "My people perish for lack of knowledge" Let's talk  Hank. |

I will have to look at Genesis 6. But I absolutley think that we were put here and I have read genesis revisited and to me it makes sense. Have you read the twelvth planet? I think that is what it is called. I see so many alien abduction scenarios in the bible. Look at the ten commandments(The burning Bush) or I beleive eziekel also has references. Have you seen the I beleive March issue of National Geoagraphic regarding our origins. We come from africa and it will make you think of the sitchin books.

Greetings eggnebula, Thanks for the reply. Yes... I have read "The 12th Planet", in fact it was the first book I read by Sitchin. It helped put alot of things in perspective for me when it came to Genesis and other things. It would seem to me now that the church's long held interpretation of the "Creation Story" is crumbling as more and more ancient tablets are discovered and deciphered. The author(s) of Genesis used Sumerian tablets and the ancient Babylon records and took liberties in changing names and places mentioned in these ancient records to make it an applicable history of the Hebrew people and their god YHVH. The author(s) main purpose was to establish Yahweh, whose Sumerian name was Enlil, as being the one and only god of the Hebrew people. All in all, the Genesis accounts (creation, Adam and Eve, the Serpent, fall, flood... etc) are nothing more than condensed versions of actual events in Man's early history taken from Sumerian and Babylonian tablets. "Genesis Revisited" was also an eye-opener, definitely a good follow-up book after "The 12th Planet" It would seem we have already had in episode of "Star Wars" when the Soviets spacecraft Phobos 2 encountered the Martian moon Phobos I'm sure you are familiar with the story. Eggnebula, could you be more specific concerning "alien abduction scenarios in the Bible?" Are we meaning Enoch and Elijah? Enoch especially, for it says "Enoch walked with God, then he was no more, for God took him" (Genesis 5:24) Have you considered the "Ark of the Covenant" Did the Ark contain radium? The Ark was the cause of many deaths. No I haven't read the March issue of National Geographic. But I would agree with its findings concerning our origins being in Africa. I'll try to get a copy somewhere. Thanks. Hank |

If they identified it as Gods, it's no longer UFO's to them.
I am currently reading Sitchin's books from A to Z and it's shocking stuff (book I) and where Sitchin has the strong accent on the technological stuff, I tend towards doubting but there's still Jesus anyway who didn't seem to use magitech and is loving and peaceful or at most a serious warner. If it's a change of policy of a developing God, I can only welcome that. Abraham's story becomes that of his own people from his own viewpoint at the very moment he departs from Harran, where the only Sumerian influence about it is the way the culture perceives and accounts for things. Like we do according to the modern Western standards with christianity or buddhism or whatever. I have a bit of trouble with the thing that man was created "let him bear the burden" of the toil the Annunaki previously did, or some disdainful passage like how ENKI could have let it come into his mind to give certain information to a "worthless human". It's not the attitude of Jesus anyway. |

Jesus, who was he? I can see that he did not have that attitude. I have read the 12th planet. I am wondering where he came from? If he is the fathers only begotten son. Was he annunaki? Did he come down from them? That is the big question? After reading the 12th planet, which i beleive is truth. Where does jesus fit into this?

(Nibiru9;257052) Greetings all,

Turnage describes an "extraterrestrial transmission?" Are we being introduced to "ancient astronauts" (Anunnaki) in the pages of Genesis? Who really are the "Nefilim" of Genesis 6, falling angels or ancient gods? Let's talk  Hank. Hi Nibiru9 - hi. I haven't read the books you talk about, but I have studied the Bible and many ancient texts. I too wondered if Genesis was taken from the Sumerians. It's also equally likely (as a believer in God this is what I believe) that while the Sumerians had a written history that reads similar to the Biblical history, the Biblical history is correct. It's like if you witnessed something that I did and then wrote about it, then I later came and wrote my own account of what I did, my account would be the better source, well taking into account that God is infallible, I on the other hand am not. Does that make sense? Now having said that, the stories in the Bible are written in a way as to be accessible to mankind of all understanding. So there is more to the story. I think of it kind of like: my children when very young asked where they came from; I told them - mommy's tummy. True, but not all the details. I think it's not possible to know all the details yet, not by our limited human brains. But there are more details available. One thing you can do is read the scriptures in their original language. Not as daunting as it may seem, just using Strongs you can look up original meanings of each word. (Hank, I suspect you already know all this, I only say this for those reading who may not.) Another thing to be done is read as many ancient texts as possible, such as the Sumerians, The Books of Enoch, The Mayans, Hopi's etc. My take is: the UFO phenomenon is real. (this I know from personal experience) While they may be originally from other planets, they are the angels and fallen angels spoken of in Biblical texts. There is a struggle going on and we are the prize. We can choose to participate in this struggle on the side of God or we can choose not to participate, in which case we will be counted among the fallen angels. There are many people that have been in contact with beings that seem benevolent. These people will tell a story of contact and tell wonderful stories of great things to come. I think these people are not lying about the contact and they're repeating what they've been told. I think these people genuinely want to share what seems like such a positive message. They are not the enemy. But, I think this message that is given to them is given by the fallen angels, and they are the enemy. I think this because in many instances it is claimed by these beings that they are our creators. If they are our creators, then who is their creator? There is one God and He is the creator of all, anyone or any being that states differently is either misinformed or out right lying. One reason it is so tempting to believe these fallen angels is because a lot of what they say is true, but it is a convoluted truth. If you are contacted by any being that tries to give the impression that they are somehow responsible for humankind and they do not give the credit to God then they're a fallen angel. I'm writing this in a simple straightforward way because I think it is important. There are many people that have been mislead. I myself was tempted at one time to believe a false message. Here is an example of why it is wrong for these other beings to take credit for the creation of humankind: I am a sculptor, sometimes I hire assistants to help me in my creations. They will come into my studio and build armatures and lay up clay. Sometimes I have them sculpt certain parts of my creations like buttons on coats or shoe laces etc. But, these works are still my own creation and not theirs. I am the one that created the gesture, the composition and the idea of the work, they on the other hand are only following my orders. I do all the important parts of the sculpture, such as fine details on the figures bodies, faces, hands etc. It is my clay, my metal for armature, my tools that is used. It is my decision how the hair and clothing etc will flow, how the figure is positioned. If these assistants later came and tried to take credit for my creation I would be very angry, and rightfully so. If they then tried to profit monetarily outside of what I paid them for their assistance, I would have the right to sue them for damages and I would win because that would be just. If an other being (angel) claims that they assisted God in our creation but that we are His creation alone, that would be the truth. I know that what I'm saying here is not a popular belief, not on this site or on any site on the web. It is also not popular in traditional Christianity nor any other religion as there they are taught that angels do not interact with humans anymore, at least not very often and if they do they will look like humans or humans with bird wings, not grey aliens that fly in craft. I would not encourage anyone to just take my word on this matter, it is too important. This concerns your spirituality and is the most important thing about you. I would encourage you to investigate on your own with guidance from God. It is my sincerest hope that you, whoever you are reading this, will investigate. Battle lines are being drawn right now and you must choose where you stand. To not choose is in fact a choice. To choose to stand with the one true Creator is a choice that must be made, if you do not choose anything, you have chosen to stand against Him. |
