I don't really spend a lot of time in this forum... its too depressing! It's time for my sob story.

I've been pretty good at staying out of bad situations but lately it feels like I have been fighting a war on too many fronts.

Working and going to school at the same time has been utterly exhausing. Especially since I was taking Accounting in the spring. Not that Accounting itself is all that hard, its just that nobody in Michigan seems to know how to teach it.

On top of that I became friends with a group of people from work. It was nice for a while but I eventually found out that the only thing we had in common was working in that crappy factory so I dumped them. Rightfully so they got angry, and I took my licks for breaking things off, but now they try to undermine me at work by trying to turn people against me.

They did manage to turn one of my best friends against me for a while. I see all of these people every day which makes things extremely tense at work.

Lets see, oh yeah, I uncovered a murder plot and told the police. The guy was mad at somebody for following him and yelling at him. The guy showed me his pistol, hollow pointed bullets, and then proceded to load his gun with rubber gloves on. Well, he is currently at large, and I just found out that he knows that I told the police. I fear for my life.

Better yet, the police in the area only do their work over the phone apparently. I've gone through this whole thing WITHOUT EVEN SEEING A POLICE OFFICER, and the GUY LIVES DOWN THE STREET FROM ME!!!

So yeah, the world isn't as nice of a place as it was just a few months ago...

I'm sorry for your troubles Lenny...

If you fear for your life and this creep knows where you live, is there no one else you could stay with? Surely you could sleep at a friend's or even a family member's house until things cool off.... otherwise I really don't know... especially if the police in your area are completely useless.

I don't know what else I can say... I feel for your troubles... but I fear my words will hold no meaning in this situation...

Just whatever you do, don't give up hope...

Aww Lenny sad.gif

There really isnt anything that the police can do at this point..other than to wait and watch. If the guy has half a brain, he wouldnt dare assault you as he'd be the 'sure' suspect. Now if he's just a mean-spirited idiot then he might be stupid enough to try something. All I can say is for you to be watchful. If he is stupid, then it should be easy to note if he is stalking you. Record everything. Inform the police that you suspect that you are being stalked and that you are making records. Petition for a DVO from the courts. Inform the police when you are granted with one. And if you truly fear for your life, dont bother with patrol. Speak to the Sheriff or Chief of Police. Be cautious when home alone and when going out alone. Lock your doors and windows. Remove items from the sides of your home that can be used for climbing or B&E. Install security lights and keep them lit at night. Inform your neighbors that someone may be stalking you and ask them to report to you any suspicous activity around your home or vehicle. Keep your vehicle locked and shine a flash light around and under your vehicle when approaching it in the dark. Park in lit areas. Get a tape recorder to record any harassing phone calls. Keep your shades drawn at night to prevent anyone from looking in. Some things are simple common sense but some others only require a few extra steps. Your safety is worth it.

And Lenny...there are other jobs to be had.

And one last thing...make an appointment with a sleep doctor. Write down all your symptoms and take that with you to your appointment. I know what you fear but the toll may be far worse if you dont.
